The part of this that is blowing me away the most right now is the hair. They are sculptures, and I just love them. Kudos to the artists who created these stunning pieces. 🌹 👏 ❤
One of my favorites was Cynthia Lee Bright. . Her gown wasn't over the top, her makeup and hair, on point, and her walk, Loved it. They were all beautiful in their own way. Love watching the Continental Pageants. The gowns, glamour, and poise they have are Amazing to me. I am learning that there is more to these pageants than looks. So yes, I am getting addicted. Love you all. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
This comment is for Cory. This is Lindsay Starr. And here is my response to your lovely concern with MY gown: Hatred will get you nowhere, and I hope to one day see what you look like in a gown. I personally love my dress, and both of you with your comments will get you nothing in life but Jealousy. I'm sure you both look like linebackers who speak behind a keyboard.
Hi Lyndsay. I am Angela. Not sure if you are still here on RU-vid, but I think you wore a Gorgeous gown. You had beautiful makeup on, and your walk was also on point. I did say that I liked Cynthia's look, walk, and makeup, but it was kind of difficult to judge between you, her, and a few more. But for the most, Loved it all. I am from North Carolina, and I love looking at pageants. No matter what kind, just love the gowns, talent, and seeing what everyone goes through, and the finish product. Amazing. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope we can keep in touch. Stay safe and blessed.
I am not a rude person.. but I just feel like some girls don't fully research before they go to a pageant... THIS IS CONTINENTAL.. study & learn before you go.. some girls had on EOY gowns or USofA gown and even Gay America gowns and hair.. u have to research the pageant and learn whats works and what does not.. and be open for feedback.. it takes a lot to get that national stage.. why go already defeated!??!
*I AM A GENETIC WOMAN AND A CHRISTIAN AT THAT. I LOVE CLASSIC BEAUTY. GENETIC WOMEN NEED TO STEP IT UP. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL DIANA ROSS,PHYLLIS HYMAN, EARTHA KITT, DOROTHY DANDRIDGE, DIANE CAROL, AUDREY HEPBURN, LONNIE ANDERSON, JOAN COLLINS, RuPAUL & MARILYN MONROE, MISS AMERICA, AND BALLROOM DANCE COMPETITION AND NOW TOMMIE ROSS, STASHA ALL THOSE TYPES UP INTO THE EARLY 90S INSPIRED MY TAKE ON BEAUTY.* TODAY'S REAL WOMEN HAVE FORGOTTEN TO TAKE THE TIME TO NOURISH THEMSELVES WITHIN AND PUT THEMSELVES TOGETHER OUTWARDLY. *MANY UGLY WOMEN SAID I LOOK LIKE A DRAG QUEEN ( NOT AS FANCILY DRESSED AS HERE). THAT'S A COMPLIMENT TO ME COMING FROM A JEALOUS WOMAN/HAG WHO LOOKS LIKE THE COOK AT THE FISH FRY* IT'S A SHAME THAT I FIND NO INSPIRATION IN BEAUTY IN GENETIC WOMEN OF TODAY. I LOOK TO THE PAST AND TO "THE GIRLS WITH A "Z".* *THE ELEGANCE, SOPHISTICATION, EXPENSE, LAVISH WAY...IS IMPECCABLE*
Draglover come on¡!! Don't try to defend something that everybody knows it's true. Those drag queens aré simply losers. The only one talent they have is get some make up on their faces and maybe talk, but far from it, they doesn't have any relevant issue which make them show their uniqueness. So in my opinión they aré just losers.
Cristian Mauricio Vega If they were seeking fame, then they got it. I guess different people have different definitions of what "losing" is. No offense, but the fact that we're talking about them must mean they "won" in some type of way. Losing is relative my dear. They may see themselves as winners because clearly they are living the way they want to live and being accepted in a world that not too long ago, they had to hide in. So to me, makeup and simple shit like that is a surface point. Just a drag lover's opinion.
Roger López Tapia There's an error . Her name is Victoria Granty not Ganty. I know she's Latina so look for her under that name on Facebook or in stag ram
Man they had some pretty masculine entries, god love 'em, I'm sure they were totally feeling their fantasy but how could they ever hope to compete with some of the gorgeous trans women in the same category
I love Jasmine Masters, but I got sumphin to say....... Stop yo shit Jasmine, you know you were way out of yo league here. I'm sorry. its just the truth!!
Here at the 1:42 mark: Miss Continental 2012 Evening Gown Competition . Her 2013 preliminary gown was the same one she wore for the 2012 finals. Venus Knight and Amanda D'Rhod are not in this lineup either because they wore the same gown for both the 2013 preliminary and finals. If you want to see their gowns, they're here: Miss Continental 2013 Evening Gown Competition
Totally Agree 100%... The creativity the designers of all these gorgeous gowns is beyond belief, and the way these ladies model and sell their gowns is astounding. These ladies all are a class of their own. The Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Universe dont measure up to the creativity of the designers of these gowns...
I really wish that I could volunteer at a drag pageant. I compete and volunteer at natural born female pageants, and I would love to see how alike and different they are.
+Darrryl Weatherspoon Somewhere along the line, this became the standard for drag culture. Overdramatic jewelry that can be seen from the back row. It actually separates this culture from the others. So much so that there's actually a market for earrings that big.
+Darrryl Weatherspoon Drag is about being over the top and next level. Big earrings and hair make a broader, more masculine face appear smaller and more feminine. There is a balance, and I think most of these ladies found it.
ACPaperStackz A good portion of the contestants are transgender women... I think it is more to do with pageant culture. Not that you aren't right... ;-)
Which paegent is more important: Miss Gay America or Miss Continental? PS: Naysha's gown looked very basic; she must have done really well in other areas to win this.
