Very nice. Tell Harry hello. Enjoyed your video-emerald cut diamonds (my favorite cut.) And thank you for the quick education about emerald cut diamonds. Agree that clarity is paramount, closely followed the need for an excellent cut. Poorly cut emerald shaped diamonds simply look dead, no refraction of light, black spots on some steps and simply no pizazz.
seems I purchased outside the ideal ratio. Thoughts on a 3.03 carat, Color G, Clarity IF, with ratio 1.5? Wifes ring size is 4.5 and it will be a 3 emerald stone ring
Can you talk to us a bit about the sidetones on the ring here? They're not Emerald Cuts obviously, but they work perfectly with the centre Emerald Cut stone.
I actually love Emerald Cuts but lately I've been debating between an Emerald & Radiant. I understand that it's your preference. But which one would you recommend between those two?
It is such a matter of personal preference. I'm sure you have already chosen by now, but I personally would choose emerald cut over radiant. :) Good luck!
I have an emerald cut because I have a IF stone. It's up to you what you want, but for me the deciding factor was the clarity of the stone, and the fact that I like a stone that is brilliant with flashes of intense sparkle vs a glittery stone.
I'd say if you want elegance, timeless, and more understated go with emerald. If you want the more flashy, glam, crushed ice, bling look, go with radiant.
I'm picking out my own diamond haha. I am stuck between emerald and pear... my boyfriend likes emerald better. I know there's a ton of specifications like cutlet and depth.... any suggestions?
What happens if you go with a 7. 64 ct, 13.77 X 9.14 X 5.96 = 1.50 ratio on an emerald cut diamond D color, VVS2, excellent cut...13.77÷9.14= 1.50 ratio... will there be any effect on the diamond by 5pt over... I know you stated to stay at a 1.45 ratio
