Because it's something that Riot went out of their way to retcon from the game's lore years ago, but still haven't actually finished doing it to this day. Miss Fortune, Nocturne, and Brand (there could be more I'm not remembering) still have voice lines referencing the nonexistent summoners-VO updates (or, preferably, ASUs) would fix this, but Riot's obviously not in any hurry to do them. It doesn't ruin the game or anything, it's just silly that they went out of their way to erase everything about summoners from League, but if you play these champions, they still talk about them.
Because its an embarrasment that it hasnt been updated yet. Theyve had a perfectly suitable VA in the studio to voice MF in other games but theyve refused to update her LoL voice even though shes one of the most popular characters in the game.@@allahvscovid19 It's baffling that the summoners from 2014 are STILL being referenced a decade later because of how low priority Riot puts into polishing existing champions and existing gameplay mechanics when they just instead keep making new ones.
@@allahvscovid19 That's closed minded. Riot has separate teams for cosmetics and SR gameplay. Voice line updates fall under the work of ASUs, skins, and general cosmetics.

I kinda wish we would've gotten an ASU that referenced her LOR design and took inspo with the Powder monkey lore she's got going on before giving a VFX update to everything...
And she still refers to the player as summoner and has like 20 voice lines BY THE WAY. Legit why are they just refusing to update her voice. They HAD an voice update recorded and shelved it a few years ago. They have Laura Bailey perfectly voicing MF in LoR, Ruined King, Cinematics and the battle bunny skin. PLEASE
Because players hated the update. They probally can't find a way to update it without changing her character, which doesn't sit well with the playerbase. Remember that the in game's MF is a lot different than the current lore MF

@@dieptrieu6564 In game MF is the same as lore MF. Only difference is that Captain is her current form while her base is her in the past. They didn’t update her voice because the feedback shows that they prefer MF being flirty
I love her old skins, and I'm really grateful because they at least cared enough to give her a vfx update. But what she really needs is an ASU + voice lines because she's so old that she still calls us "summoner," not even Sona calls us like that anymore.
I guess they are doing the same.thing they did with jax :D giving new effects, than naybe reworking her a bit, then giving voicelines, than making the character update... it will be just like jax, after the vfx it will take another year for it bear minimum
Candy Cane Miss Fortune is now finally having Christmas effects. But RIP Pool party. The ultimate effect is now bright which means the enemy can see my ult in the river now😢
I wish we still got some of the splash damage from the more realistic fire particles of the older one. Like Pool Party looks like a direct downgrade. But I like them increasing the hit clarity overall.
I'm glad that some of her older skins are getting new effects but I feel like the old classic ultimate looks much more detailed and overall better, the updated one looks painfully simplified but oh well everything now is getting much more simple
As a Miss Fortune main (with half a mil mastery points), I like a lot of the changes on the skins like mafia and such but I think on the default skin, the originals look better. I like the cannon balls on the original E and I think the original R's effect looks cooler. Getting rid of the sparkles on the strut effect with the hearts is criminal imo. I also think pool party's original R looks better.
Crime City, Secret Agent and Candy Cane are 975, and they have an VFX update But why tf Captain Fortune doesn't have any VFX despite being a 975 too and a lore skin (It is my most favourite mf skin too)
Waterloo supposed to have more blue in animation I believe. Also new ults bullets (capt,road,mafia, waterloo etc) look way too thick, round and unrealistic I prefered old small chrapnel more tho. They just had to make it more modern like blurry but no bigger bullets.
It’s a pretty nice update. The only things that are downgrades are the bigger size of the auto’s (mainly for her base VFX) and the removal of the “spray”- like ult VFX. I much prefer her older ult VFX.
The old ultimate looks much better. Far more explosive. If you compare them side by side you can see the actual explosion effect is just way stronger and more visible in the old version, whereas it's a barely perceptible little spark in the new ones.
I don't like how smooth everything is nowadays her fire effects looked like fire now it's all smooth, also in pool party skin water looked way more realistic hence better would be better if they just made it brigher
unfortunately its a visual clarity thing, MF ult has always had a problem with trying to figure out where her ult starts and ends, especially towards the very end of it
@@wasabilover1293 but also from a gameplay perspective (as her enemy) it's a lot more clear now, I actually died once to a mf r because I didnt' realize it was being fired during a busy teamfight
All new modern VFX are cool but when theres teamfights it just ruins any little visual clarity that is left, its just an orgy of flashy colors that covers the whole screen.
I'm happy she kept the summoner quote tbh. It's a callback to the old days and reminds us she is a relic of champion design as well. She should keep it!
Stop giving miss fortune literally everything. She has most of the skins, she got new VFX. Got an ultimate, legendary, prestigue, and lootbox legendary. Someone in Riot is turbo biased and probably got a fuck pillow of her. Just give other champions some love. She does not need a skin for at least 2 years.
Candy Cane's and Secret Agent's effects are so fricking bright for me. But I usually use more classic skins like Captain or Crime City and I also have Battle Bunny for more fantasy style so It wood be a good update
They could've just make the pool party much clearer or bluer color not totally remake it and give it a bullet water look i like the old ult it look like water splashing
Her ultimate needs a clearer hitbox frame, something akin to the E. The very end of her ult has always been a clarity issue as the vfx never really lined up to the end of her hitbox, so you’d die without actually being hit.
some touch ups are nice, like the hearts from the movespeed passive and bullets fitting with the skin's theme, but i actually feel like Mafia / "crime city" MF gets worse here. The change from stilized purple heart to purple gem is litteraly two tiny, shiny triangles; e has whole (not used or emptied...) cartridges raining on ground, the 90 degree apart decorations on ground turn the heart into the diamond yet again, and her ult is the worst, supersizing whole cartridges to the volume of two heads being shot in volleys like it was Ashe's W, while old looks more chaotic and "spray and pray" as the ult would suggest and how gangter twitch manages to pull it off... Road warrior has similar issues but they didn't bother with movespeed signnigier nor love tab visualization, but here AT LEAST SHE SHOOTS BULLETS IN ULT INSTEAD OF WHOLE; GIANT CARTRIDGES. Dissapointing. I take it tank valkyrie and anima petplay enthusiast MF never needed such a touch-up?
I believe with these small updates shes getting a spaced out ASU, ala Jax I won’t be surprised if her VO is updated some time in the future, followed by a visual update.
Look, I'm absolutely not complaining, because these look nice... but why are they giving 750RP skins unique visual effects? Feels very weird coming from a company fully embracing 200$ chromas. Maybe a passion project...Again, much appreciated! Just unexpected
Still no outline for the ult hitbox. Sometimes the camera angle makes it look absolutely insane that it would hit you, or to tell whether you're out of it or not. The ability needs an outline similar to her E if it's going to be main source of her damage, and pretty much the only reason people play her.
as mf main, im not sure if liking new ult anmination. new one feels like more clear and visible separation between each bullet, whilst with old its more kinda like a baricade all at once and looks cool.
The old love taps were better in my opinion the red flair was a nice touch and the auto attacks feel a bit too big its a little weird. What she really needed was an animation update more than anything that crit animation ESPESSIALLY.
I hate this This means that we're not receiving an ASU for MF for at least the nest three years! Honestly, one of the champions that should be prioritized, she's relevant for the marketing of the game and one of the most played ADCs in the lower ranks (you know the ones that have a BIGGER PLAYERBASE) I just don't get it that riot is more concerned with releasing 12 skins per patch instead of updating their already actual established champions rooster I've already lost all my hopes for a Shaco, Malzahar or Zilean visual update in any shape or form, I was hooping that we would at least get more than ONE AU per year
I think she will recieve an ASU it will be less work for Riot to do hr ASU since they update her VFX. Look at Ahri and Cait they recieve an VFX update before there ASU
Im just glad i rock candy cane mf regularly and it has gotten proper visuals now that look nice. Imo to the people complaining she needs a visual update , please ya'll know other champs are down bad for it before we start updating more humanoids that arent really that bad overall.
I can understand your point, but to be honest she need to get a new ASU, look at her model in WR and LOR it's just an amazing. Im OTP her 3 million point on her and sadly her animation is very old. They do a VGU too fast for her
