I'm so happy that the mother of the injured boy didn't yell or scream at Miss Goodwin. She didn't look at her with hatred or disgust. Miss Goodwin was so kind to offer her a job for the benefit of her kids. This made me tear up quite thoroughly 🥺

Such an amazing actress, you could just feel the guilt in her voice and her shuddering breathe.

Poor Goodwin. But glad her people rallied to make sure she's OK, and so was the kid she hit. Since she was freaking out about it.

You can tell the mom is just trying so hard to keep it together with all the things happening to her at the same time. She’s a working single mom, she has kids to think about, one of her kids is critically injured, she still has to look over her other child, and she needs to work so she can provide for them.

As happy an ending as one could hope for. The mom blames herself for not being there for her kids, but her son getting hit gave her the ability to shift that blame. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very good woman who was just as traumatized by this accident as her. This angered her b/c there was no justifiable way to shift blame anymore. Fortunately, it WAS a good woman who hit him, & she’s helping now to make life easier for this family. So much pain, but it was all for the best in the end. Also, after he’s no longer in the danger zone, a talk is in order. Riding at night w/o a helmet is a big ‘N’ ‘O’.

And this is why I wear a helmet and have lights on my bike and check left and right before crossing cause I don’t wanna die

A young boy biked into my mom's car at a stop light, we we stationary but she was still so shaken up. The little guy wasn't payed attention and From what I heard was looking back at his dad when he rode into the car. He Was absolutely fine no scratches no more to nothing but my mom was absolutely terrified at the thought of hurting the boy. I feel so bad for this Goodwin

It's people like Miss Goodwin that give me home in humanity. It's what I hope everyone can be like in life.

I won't deny it, if I had hit the kid under the same circumstances as Ms Goodwin, I would've felt somewhat guilty.... Until she shouts at me for the first time. Then I would be like: "yo, it's not my fault you're not watching your kids either", which I know it wouldn't be okay, but I shouldn't have to deal with her guilty feelings

that sudden movement of the boy's head and the call out in 7:10 literally jumpscared me

One day I was driving and approaching an intersection. I wasn't driving fast because the street is narrow, there are cars parked on one side and electricity poles on the other. At the intersection, I don't have a stop. In the other direction, there are stops, and coming from the right, there is a slope that goes down towards the street where I am. Children raced down that hill and across the street in front of me. I was far away, maybe 50 meters from the intersection, several seconds from the intersection. However, I was afraid. I could have been closer and hit all three of them. I will always remember it.

You have to feel for both Sharon and Wendy (mother). Sharon was doing everything right and still had the accident. and the mother just wants what's best for her kids. I'm glad they were able to reconcile at the end.

Cam clearly shows your child riding into the middle of a busy street with no adult supervision in the pitch black knight police already know that the driver wasn’t at fault I bet you they’re coming for you next.

Oh sure I’m sure you have to be drunk to hit a kid in pitch dark when the kid is not even supposed to be out biking by themselves I’m sure that means Miss Goodwin was drunk just because she hit your kid in the pitch black at night just because somebody could not see and just because somebody hit a kid doesn’t mean they had to be drunk I’ll admit yeah there’s a lot of crappy people out there who drive drunk and caused a lot of issues but you don’t just automatically assume the person was drinking. Miss Goodwin was not drinking and she hit the kid because the kid was not supposed to be out there. The kid came from like the side of the road. The kid doesn’t know how to cross the road safely on a bike which is why he shouldn’t of been out there alone riding a bike. I I’m sorry but I would’ve snapped at her. and I know I would lose my job for this, but if she said that in front of me and I was part of this hospital, I would look at her and say” actually, no, they weren’t drinking Miss Goodwin was actually sober and on her way to go have a work out your son went outside by himself at night and wrote a bike on the road. It is his fault he got hit not Miss Goodwins because she was not drunk not the problem. You’re a fucking kid going outside with no adult supervision is the problem.” and yes, I know I would lose my job immediately but it would be worth it. I can’t believe nobody fucking stood up for Miss Goodwin when she said, I bet the person who hit my son was drinking no you don’t have to be drinking to hit someone if it’s dark enough and the kid was not supposed to be there and came out of nowhere.
