Va Fonoti has Samoan ancestry beginning with her maternal line traces back to Ata Sefesi one of the long lines of Nobles of the Village of Kolovai. The Noble House of Ata started with Kaumavae who was one of the 4 sons of Ngata who was the 1st Tu’ikanokupolu and Paternal father of the Tu’ikanokupolu 3rd dynasty(Father-Mounga’aTonga 6th Tuiha’atakalaua 2nd dynasty) He took Tohu’ia daughter of High Chief Ama of Samoa as 3rd wife and they bore NGATA who begun the 3 dynasty with 4 sons- AHIO Leilua became VE’EHALA Kaumavae became ATA(Va Fonoti’s ancestors) ATAMATAILA Crowned 2nd Tu’ikanokupolu KAPUKAVA who became high Chief to Noble Ahome’e of Ha’avakatolo(Uvea ancestry).
