Divina, I am Filipino citizen. and i don't speak English very well, but we Understand some word. its not good if we answers the question in word randomly. and we're not ashamed on it. we're proud of it. its not gaining a time to think to us. there's nothing difference with knows English and to those not. we think, we speak, they translate. while they translate, we think again for our following answer and that's it. we are nervous too even we use specific language. some are not correct too. there's nothing difference with knows English like what they thought they voice it out Automatically. and beside for me, being "Guilty is Furious." Everything about this year was an epic fail.. From the last minute choice of venue, to the production itself w/ the small & cheap stage design & Low-cost guest performers.. Bad photoshoot from Fadil Berisha as well.. And don't get me started on that new hideous DIC crown.. And the results.. Like what were these judges thinking & looking at? Although Colombia is physically stunning & beautiful didn't really prove herself worthy during the finals.. A really forgettable & disappointing year for MU in general.. With a 2014 pageant coming this late, everybody was anticipating & patiently waiting & this is what pageant fans & a worldwide audience got.. Geesh..
At field Shinzo, I totally agree with you100% .....This is the worse and the most dissaster ever in Miss Universe history, followed back on 2012 when Miss USA won over Miss Philippines, even she is not really deserved to won the crowned, Miss Philippines answer was very intelligent and so excelent. I got nothing against Colombia but her answer was bad. She won in the end BUT she shouldn't have been in the top 5! The 2 strongest candidates were Miss Jamaica and Miss Ukraine ( 2 Goddesses ) they stand out the most! Their answer to the question was way better than most. And Jamaica and Ukraine deserved that crown so my congratulations to Colombia and all proud Barranquilleros! To bad Miss Dominican Republic couldn't make it to the finals but i'm still proud of her participation though.

In my opinion Miss Jamaica lost out because she addressed "Crime". Violence does not necessarily mean crime. A lot of violence that women experience are from men who they are involved with. The customs of some countries who look at women as inferior human beings also contribute to violence towards women. I would have answered about violence not crime. I think this is why she ended up coming 5th. If she had addressed the question properly, I believe she would have won or maybe come second after Miss USA. It would have been a toss up between the two because she was very outstanding otherwise. Her second answer is exactly what I was thinking. music and athletics. She did mention Bob Marley who has brought the whole world to know Jamaica and Usain Bolt. Up to now I don't know what Miss Columbia said. I am still waiting. I still can't understand what she said and why she won the competition. I don't think that she should have won. Sorry guys, just my opinion.

My answers : sorry for my English I've written down this very fast. 1.USA's Question : I would send a very peaceful message ,Saying that you have never experienced how painfully the people have died because of your bullets ,Only one bullet have that power to destroy all of their dreams all of the hardwork he/she did ,so just leave this ,Try to solve the problem and fight them but not through violence ,If we can solve our problem without any weapon or sheild ,Then a world can form. Thank you 2.Netherland's question : In the next generation ,I would LOVE to see for young ladies is that people respecting them and not harasses them. Thank you. 3.Ukraine's question : If I could remove swimsuit competition ,I wouldn't do it because this is important for miss universe to be body confident ,Woman can easily feel free to perform in this segment ,If man can do this too then why not women? To be fair they all had lousy answers for the first question. They were all nervous and the background music didn't help at all neither did the acoustics. Miss Jamaica didn't really answer the question even after the judge repeated it to her. The question was about violence against women, but general crime nor did she really say anything. Miss Netherlands face was like: I have no idea what you just said. Miss Colombia's answer was very lousy but she did answer. I feel she really wanted to say we can't learn anything from men haha. Miss Ukraine, I think, was by far the most entertaining and confident contestant during all the competition. Thankfully there was some improvement in the second question.
Jamaica, next time you are asked that same question about reducing or stopping abuse against women - here is what you need to say. There need to be more awareness on the dept of the issues of violence against women. The government also need to provide funding to community agencies to safety and educational programs. We need to focus on building stronger families where people are valued. And men need to step up and lead the campaign on stopping violence against women.

Hmm... It wasn't a bad answer. It's how you interpret it. The question was not about what does men can teach women; the question was what could learn from them. I got it. Her answer was good because there are women who do not believe in themselves and there are men who do, and maybe they give the boost that girls need; unfortunately, I think she was kind of nervous and she hasn't time to explain her answer. She explained it in her press conference. We should be proud of these girls. There's a lot of people going in front of many others. Instead of flatter you, some flay you without piety. Nobody should criticize, we should value and appraise the best virtue of each lady. We live in a society full of envy, selfishness, aesthetics and prototype of woman that does not exist.
