Maybe the missing children react to different alternate universes, i haven't seen that to often (though i haven't searched for it, so i wouldn't really see it in general). Like an au with William Afton and glitchtrap being different entities, or one where William wasn't psychopathic, or even one where cassidy hates C.C.
