THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD! Sorry again for the late reaction, a lot happening this week, but wow this episode did not disapoint. Not a single thing happened the way I expected it and I am perfectly happy with that LOL. Again best part of the episode for me was definitely Reine kissing Shido and me thinking NICE SEAL HER but it was all according to plan as she learned exactly what Shido was planning and how he went to the future. Honestly felt bad for Reine honestly. In some respects she really enjoyed the date but is also heart broken over Shido's plan wishing their date was more than him trying to seal her. At the end of the day Reine cannot forget about Shin but as Elliot highlighted, there may be a way for Shido to save the spirits AND convince Mio as well to be saved.

I think that one of the great twists of this episode is how the spirit path that connects Shido to the spirits he sealed ended up working against him for the first time here. Reine was completely willing to open her heart to him, but because of that, they exchanged menories when they kissed, and she could no longer ignore the truth. On the other hand, successfully establishing the spirit path shows how close Shido was to being able to seal her.

Agreed! Like they even had me I was like he’s really going to do it. Ngl I felt so bad for Reine though, when she reveals she knows everything I felt awful for her because she told herself it was time to “wake up” from shido and her having their moment because it was all a plot to stop her, I felt bad

They can’t get rid of Westcott just yet. I mean, he’s the villain. They gotta give him an epic fight scene first. I know pretty much everyone is tired of him at this point but if that didn’t happen it would be extremely anti climactic.

I just hate him because he’s evil and a nuisance but like his character, he is THE villain of the show so even when he died the first time it all felt surreal bc he should be the final boss basically.

Reine being like "no, Shin, I...", then kissing him, and then right after "oh...so you've seen the future, huh?" was the craziest and for some reason the funniest thing ever 😂 bro really thought "i have her now" LOL Also, i wonder what Kurumi will do here exactly. Idk what it is, but if Westcott catches an L again i'm gonna be happy.

Yes, in the LN Reine explicitly stated she never was able to sleep in the past 30 years.... and this line was in the very first volume, when you were told the first spacequake happened 30 years ago. She was eally sus from the very beginnnig. In this LN on this part of the plot, there was a brief Reine POV moment where she mentioned she couldn't fall asleep due to the trauma of Shinji dying in front of her. She still goes to bed and pretend to sleep, because that's what a normal human will do. The fact that she can fall asleep here means that she what Shido does truely let her relived the time with Shinji, allowing her to be relaxed enough to fall asleep. Her bags even disappeared for a brief moment

Yeah I saw the bags vanish and I was like omg! But glad I did not misremember because I recalled at some point early in the series them addressing her not sleeping thus the bags etc. And I agree for a brief moment its clear she felt true peace and forgot about the past, in that sense Shido truly did succeed, sadly the kiss outed him lol
