It doesn’t matter to me whether you’re messing about or being serious, your talent is always on-show and so it should be. I could listen to you play all day and never be bored. Absolutely fantastic. I’m just a bog-standard Jazz keys player, and you inspire me to do better in my field. Mad respect.

I played guitar from age 12 to about 45, never could get as good as I wanted (forever running into guitarists like the above) So I picked up the fiddle. So much fun. I enthusiastically recommend hopping to a new bag

The hat is a recurring theme to mock the pretense of Jazz musicians who wear "jazz hats" . When I pretend to play jazz I always wear my Jazz Hat. I suck so badly the only way people know I'm trying to jazz is by that hat. The rest of my playing is discredited by "improvisation" so poorly done it is repetitive and boring
