Incredible smokin' blues. I love the way you cook with the solo and the deep bends up high on the fret board and keep the base thumping heavy. Like Churck Berry on psychedelic steroids. This and your version of Jelly Roll Blues played the same night are absolutely phenomenal. Gutsy, soulful and blazing.

I'm an amateur musician, whose style is more focused on the Jazz and the Bossa Nova Brazilian, but I confess that when I watch your videos I was willing to buy an acoustic guitar just to play this Mississippi Blues. If one day I go to the U.S., I'll go to a concert of you, that's for sure!

i have to agree - having just bought the truefire dvd, i m disappointed. for a more musical interpretation see Stefan Grossman plays "Mississippi Blues" 1981. other thing i notice is Sparks doesnt palm with left hand.

Astounding technique, but played too fast. This should have a relaxed party-in-the-Delta feel. Check out the original from Willie Brown.

This guy is technically brilliant but it's a bit mechanical and just lacks a little feeling. I don't think blues should be played so strictly, but hey he's better than me so what do I know? Check out the version of this by Stephan Grossman and you will get a whole different feel/
