@@TerrelLism I've been apart of the music industry for YEARS! Some (not all) of these older artists that you think were sanctified and holy were slippin and dippin. God used them and uses the ones of today.
A time when people didn't have to out show or sing someone else and they felt real about God. I remember how we were in college at UAB and going to different towns and churches singing. I had a new car so I could not sing but I was a driver. Gas was $.85 a gallon and cheaper than that on base. I can't ever turn back the time but the anointing was a beautiful high and I am still chasing that original high!
Look at all of the parishioners who are moving in unison. Makes me think about the struggles and challenges that Black people face and how we overcome. From discrimination and oppression on all fronts, we worship and overcome. It must have been very difficult for our parents generation to have joy on a Sunday but then face an evil society from Monday to Saturday.
