Enjoyed the video. I'm in North Texas and generally head west but I am wanting to try Missouri sometime.

Thank you! I’ve fished out west a lot, too, and I love it out there. But the Ozark Plateau is a special place and definitely worth visiting. It’s got it’s own unique beauty and plenty of good fishing.

Nice content! I have done well on a dry dropper in that area. Will be there next week.

Thanks for the feedback! Good luck next week, I suspect they’ll still be looking up for you. I’m finally going fishing again next week also, but to a different stream.

Awesome video! I went to the Current about a month ago for the first time and had a blast. I Euro Nymph and had great success. I definitely want to float and fish to get away from the crowds. If you don’t mind me asking, what dry fly and size did you use?

Thanks and so glad you liked it! It is an amazing trout river for sure. The trout in this video were primarily taking an 18 tan elk hair caddis. I was also using a larger stimulator and had some looks but none actually ate it. Caddis seem to work most of the year with nymphs as well.

Great video. I noticed when you strip your line and you're letting go you should be pulling beneath your right hand that's holding the rod and never let go if you get a big enough fish you're going to lose them

Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the tip. I think I am doing what you’re describing, but perhaps I mishandled the line at some point trying to pick up the slack. No doubt it’s best to maintain constant pressure on them after the hookset.

I see this stretch it seems like fished by others and shown on video here on youtube. I typically walk in at the cable at the end of the park. Other times I go in at Tan Vat and every once in a while I make it down to Baptist. But in all those times fishing those access spots, I havent seen this stretch. Is this further down river like around cedar grove?

Without spotlighting it further, it’s in the upper stretches that you mentioned. Just have to walk further from the access points than you have before.

The stretch between Tan Vat and Baptist has some excellent fishing. I’m gonna go get into that area next week.
