Gyutaro wasn’t more difficult to beat it‘s just to visualize how powerful Muichiro is and how broke the buff from the mark is

Since Gyokko’s backstory will not be shown in the anime, I’ll just tell it to you here: Gyokko’s name was Managi and he lived in a fishing village on the cost of Japan. His parents were both fishermen but when they were out fishing one day, they had an accident and drowned. Their bodies eventually washed up to shore and Managi, instead of feeling traumatized, saw their decaying bodies as beautiful. He began collecting fish carcasses and doing other strange things which caused the people of his village to label him as a creep and a weirdo. One day, a child encountered Magani and made so much fun of him that Magani killed him and stuffed his body into a vase. When the child’s parents found out, they hunted down Magani and stabbed him in the torso with a two-pronged fishing fork. Magani laid there for hours, clinging to life and refusing to die, before Muzan himself noticed him while passing by the village. Muzan found Magani’s stubbornness to stay alive commendable so he decided to turn him into a demon. Magani then became Gyokko and rose to the upper ranks of the Twelve Kizuki. Note: Gyokko had a preference for eating human children similar to Daki who had a preference for eating beautiful people. He also despises all life with the exception of himself, his fish demons, and Muzan.

It’s not that Gyokko is weaker than Gyutaro. It’s that Muichiro is simply stronger than any character we’ve seen fight so far aside from hantengu and akaza. The sheer power of the mark, which you will learn more about eventually, is insane. Gyokko is a ridiculously busted demon and if he was actually smart, he could be much stronger. His abilities are overpowered AF. Teleportation, poison, AOE, traps, speed, everything man.

aizetsu's ability was that his spear could extend, and in this episode you could see the dragon heads extend so that is where aizetsu comes in

Gyokko wasn’t weak, Muichiro is just that much stronger than most characters we’ve seen, plus the mark gives an insane buff

Muichiro is a prodigy. Remember how Tengen pointed out he became a Hashira only a couple months after first becoming a demon slayer. Yeah, U5 was quick work, but that was to show how good Muichiro is, and how powerful the mark really is. I don't wanna spoil things for anime onlys, but more will be explained.

Rengoku-san is an amazing man. He died, but he saved the lives of others.

Obscuring Clouds is accomplished by drastically varying speed. Muichiro deliberately allows Gyokko to glimpse him while moving in slow motion, then springs out of sight at his top speed. The effect is the impression that he is disappearing in and out of the mist.

It’s insane how Gyutaro upper 6 took so much power from Tengen and the slayers to beat, and Muichiro just one taps upper moon 5 by himself. It really shows the power difference between Tengen and Muichiro. Anyways i’m hyped for the next episodes, the climax is coming!!!

In this episode, the anime left out an explanation for muichiro’s seventh form that was explained in the manga. So here it is! The personal creation of Muichiro Tokito. A technique in which the user drastically changes the tempo of their movement to disorient their enemy, which seemingly takes the form of clouds of mist enveloping a wide area. When the user shows themselves, their speed will appear to be extremely slow but when they hide, the user moves in the blink of an eye. (It also worked exceptionally well on Gyokko because if you recall, last episode, muichiro pointed out his dulled senses) Keep it up! Love the videos

Fact about the seventh form: Mist Breathing, "seventh form*, Tokito drastically changes the tempo of his movements, thus disorienting his enemies, when he shows himself he is slow as a turtle but when he hides he moves more quicker than sight. His fastest speed exceeds Gyokko's. An injured Muichiro could barely manage to defeat an Upper Moon. Gyokko is right this is indeed a situation.

I understand why you would say that gyokko is weaker but remember when tengen completed his musical score technique. When he did it became much easier for tengen to defeat gyutaro. That shows that gyokko isn't weaker it's just that the mark of muichiro really made a difference. But still an amazing video, keep it up🔥

Pretty sure they won't even mention this in the anime but the Mist Breathing 7th form: Obscuring Clouds is a form Muichiro created himself. The form is pretty crazy because it makes it look like he's moving slow but that's the whole point. He moves at different tempos to confuse his opponent into thinking he's moving slow when in reality he's moving extremely fast. Thats why when Gyokko tried to slash him he sped up like crazy. You can even hear the noise of him speeding up. It's basically an illusion

gyokko isn’t weak, muichiro is just crazy strong and especially with the mark he’s insane so he makes it look easy (you’ll learn more about the marks later but it makes you insanely strong) and tengen never got a mark and is also one of the weakest hashiras so that’s why it seemed so much more difficult to kill gyutaro

gyokko's backstory was mention only in a databook so here it is (this is not a spoiler): In the past, Managi lived alone on the outskirts of a fisherman village. His parents had passed away from a drowning incident, something that he was fascinated by and found beautiful when he saw their bodies. He was known for collecting fish carcasses, among other strange activities that led him to be disliked by others and kept their distance from him.At one point, a child approached and teased him, causing him to lash out and murder the child by stuffing them in a jar. The child's parents had found out and in a fit of rage, proceeded to stab Managi and left him to die. He was eventually approached by Muzan Kibutsuji and became his minion, turning into the demon Gyokko that later became Upper Rank Five. Since then, he would prey on the flesh of humans, specifically children, and modify his body to his very own liking.

I think it seemed very easy to beat Gyokko because Muichiro is so talented that he was able to kill him before he was able to show much of his skills.

The dragon's length was 66 shaku, but the shaku is a unit of the length of old Japan 1shaku is about a 1ft

Man...dont compare Tengen with Muichiro...he is a descendant of the first breathing and has the demon slayer mark.Also Muzan liked Gyokko for his vases (a lot of moneyy🤑).

First of all, I just finished the episode and I'm still trembling. Second of all, Mitsuri where tf were you all this time? Third of all, guys, let's say Happy Birthday to baby girl Mitsuri since her bday was last Thursday. Fourth of all, am I the only one crying after seeing Kyojuro again?

Upper five is strong. Muichiro is a descendant of the very slayer that gave Muzan PTSD. So the mark boosted muichiro's speed and strength.

Honestly even if Gyokko was treated as a comic relief villain I think he deserves to be upper 5 and to be above Gyutaro. In his first form he can : - Teleport at will - Can make an army of various lesser demons - Use demon poison in various ways - Use many tentacles like Daki - Use water blades - Use the water prison vase which is inescapable for most demon slayers, it's even difficult to escape for hashiras. - Use all of the above at the same time like we saw at the end of episode 8. Then in his final form : - He can turn anything he touches into fish. That may sounds funny on paper but it's actually op. Basically if his punch connects with you even once you're dead. Whatever part of you he punched just disappears. It's a one hit kill. - He can't teleport anymore but becomes very fast and agile. Honestly Gyokko was absolutely cracked but he was an egocentric dumbass which was his downfall. Also Muichiro is probably one of the strongest hashiras. Remember how Tengen hyped up both him and Gyomei and not the others?

This show is really good at showing perspectives. Muchiuro was so fast that upper 5 didn’t even know his head was off until it rolled on the ground. In that instance he was talking about reporting to Muzan not knowing that he was already dead.

Yet again they made another epic episode for us to enjoy 😊

It's funny to think that gyutaro only got his neck slashed twice before the final strike but gyokko out here getting knocked up left and right

I've heard people say things like "muichiros fight wasn't as good as gyutaro vs tengen" but I don't think people get that the fight was SUPPOSED to be underwhelming/look easy for muichiro. It was supposed to showcase the true power of a slayer mark, it wasn't meant to be some super high caliber and intense fight. As well as those who call gyokko weak, he wasn't. Before muichiros mark appeared, he lost to gyokko relatively easily, and that's probably how most of gyokkos fights with hashiras turned out, with his opponent quietly drowning, which is why he was so overconfident. I'd perhaps even go as far to say that gyokkos never met another demon slayer with a slayer mark before muichiro, so against an "average" hashira, he's probably never faced any issues due to how effective drowning is at shutting down a demon slayer. I think he deserves his spot as Upper 5, but it's just muichiros WAY too strong

You guys dont know how much i wanted that sword hilt to protect tanjiro since in s2 ep 8 senjuro said while giving the hilt to tanjiro that he's sure the hilt will protect him and his new sword at that time didnt have that hilt so i thought he will be protected by it somehow while fighting gyutaro and it didnt happen so i was dissapointed af... And seeing it now protecting kotetsu just made my heart almost burst out of my chest and cried for like 5 min!!!!

Muichiro is extremely powerful and did have the mark which is a symbol of smith you’ll find out later, so Gyokko didn’t have a chance, he is powerful in his own right, but the matchup just wasn’t fair at all.

I adore Muichiro so much that i have a tattoo of him doing that silly face with the tongue out. It's so goofy but so badass at the same time !

Fun fact: the breathing technique visuals aren’t real,they are just for the audience so what muichiro is going at 11:43 is that he is moving so fast is like he has vanished but slowing down to seem like he is appearing and disappearing

Shaku is a measuring system like the metric system (metres, centimetres etc) in the present from what I know it is only used to measure a the length of a katana eg. 2 shaku long katana.

The reason why gyokko was very easy to kill is just because marked Muichiro is extremely powerfull. Way powerfull than Tengen and Rengoku.

From my perspective, Muichiro used Spider-Man's technique of trash talking an enemy into frustration/anger making them lose focus and fighting out of pride and ego. Rather than with a calm, focused mind. As for how he was above Gyutaro, Muzan said it earlier: Gyutaro was focused on Daki, his weakness. His need to keep her alive held him back from getting higher in the ranks.

Tokito MVP of this chapter for finally finish the annoying Gyokko once and for all with that scene of Rengoku and Tokito family feeling proud of him and now we return to the fight against Hantengu Hate emotion with finally the appair of the goddess Mitsuri.

Gyokko wasn't weaker than UM6, the "ease" with which Muichiro killed him is just to illustrate the actual power of manifesting the demon slayer mark. If we go by what Tanjiro says when slicing Gyutaro's neck, the mark increases the slayer's strength A HUNDRED FOLD. (I think it might be mentioned in the manga as a fact, not sure tho) We can't even be sure whether Muichiro is stronger than Tengen, we haven't seen Tengen fight with a mark.

I mean muichiro became a hashira after just 4months of training he's truly a prodigy & gyokko wasn't weak it's just that our little guy is too op ❤ & he's the youngest one too even younger than tanjiro himself 😂

Gyokko's backstory was revealed in a databook like Enmu, here's the backstory: Gyokko's human name was Managi, he was the only son in a family of fishermen, one day Managi's parents drowned while they were fishing and when Managi saw their corpses he thought they were beautiful and said that they were art this paired with other strange behaviour like collecting fish corpses made him disliked by his village and was turned into a pariah, Managi grew up homeless and he became the local crazy man everyone hated, one day a child decided to make fun of Managi and he got so infuriated that he took the child and forcibely stuffed him in a nearby pot killing him, Managi was arrested and sentenced to death and while he was waiting for his execution Muzan found him and offered him to turn into a demon, Managi accepted and thus he became Gyokko.
