Just found your channel today and I'm quite surprised that after 3 episode of this game, no one has suggested for you to "Carry" one of the small 3 drawer file cabinets around with you. The file cabinet has 45 inventory slots and can be carried with resources stored in it. Basically it's a mobile backpack. Eventually you'll have vehicles/trailers to hold multiple storage units, but while you're on foot, you can at least carry one with ya. You have the ability to change from "Carry mode (held over your head)" to a "Place mode (held in front of you)". In the place mode you can orientate the carried item and then place the item into a specific location. Best vehicle setup IMO is the red pick-up truck with the camper trailer attached.
I think somebody may have suggested it, but I didn't really understand what they were talking about at the time, so it didn't stick with me. But you describing it in more detail here makes a lot of sense, so I may try doing that from now on. I'm hoping to get a vehicle (preferably the red pickup) going here very soon. I have tires and an engine. All I need now is a battery, I think. I'll need to look at my key bindings to see how to switch between the two carry modes for the filing cabinet but once I get that sorted, I'll definitely start doing that. And I like your thoughts on the pickup with a camper trailer. That sounds quite nice. How well does that setup handle off-road? Does the trailer hinder the mobility of the truck horribly?
Truck and camper offroad can be tough but there's no reason to take the vehicle cross country, just stay on at least dirt roads and don't drive crazy. If you flip the truck there is a resource in the game that you can use to upright your vehicle. Trailer does no hinder truck at all. The trailer stays inline with the truck, it does not pivot on the trailer ball hitch.
There is a seven shot shotgun in the game, but (and this is just personal preference) I find the double barrel with the suppressor hits harder, and is quicker to reload. The seven shot can't be modded and takes too long to reload if you're in the middle of a fight.
You can build great detailed bases.. i follow you mainly for scum your humor and drats has me hooked... You love base building and fishing and cooking check out infected... ive commented before but gamedged has great playthroughs on this game and also infected. Ps Sorry about the hand pain glad your able to find a work around..keep up the good work and great content.
I will give Infected a look. I'm always up for trying new games. I know Mist hasn't been as entertaining as Scum so far, but once I get a better idea of how the game works, there will be more humor and such. I played Scum for over 100 hours before ever recording anything, and it was a struggle for a while at first. I should have played Mist for a while before doing videos on it so you guys wouldn't have to watch me struggle to learn the basics.
There's a gas can beside your house on the side where swing is you can get gas from cars & use it in the generator so you can work on stuff at night the lights in the garage work with it too. I'm thinking your stuff you dropped by hotel is still there & the red truck is just past the hotel at little store. Good luck see ya next time!
Thank you! I forgot about that gas can! Does having lights on at night attract attention from the infected? And I will head back toward the hotel and see what might be there, along with trying to haul parts to that truck.
Vein is actually quite good, I've been watching a few players trying it and they all seemed to like it, you can do a lot more than you can in this game but the zombies look kinda weird in my opinion, as I say if it's free ya not going to lose nothing except time. 🙂
Good to know! I've only seen what amounts to an intro for Vein, so I have no idea how much content the current build has, but what I saw looked pretty good. I'll definitely put it on the list. I'll probably start playing it once I finish the Days Gone series.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson, Oh since a few are giving you help here and there, I give you 2 bits of advice, climb on top of garage roofs and and climb tall towers for backpacks also at the military checkpoint when you start generators make sure you look next to it for card. :-)
Thank you! I'm clueless to the finer details of Mist (who are we kidding, I'm clueless to the obvious details too😅), so tips like this are very much appreciated!
@@FlailyMcFlailerson, I don't believe you, lol, No worries mate only other advise I would give you is to search everything and everywhere, I'm amazed at how many players don't do that and they miss so much stuff. 🙂
only the red pickups and the white suv's are drivable in this game , eack you can hook the tailer up to and put a work bench of bed in and use it as a small moblebase of soorts
If those are the only driveable vehicles, why can you put tires and engines and batteries on/in the other ones? Are they just wrecks to salvage parts from? The red pickup and white SUV did look much cleaner and I don't remember them having broken windows like most of these, but it still seems weird that you can install all the parts but not have them be useable.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson not really sure other then to say itsa great game but it needs alot of work still, i tryed several times , the big clue was when he told people how to use cheat codes , this was during a branch test , the only one you could spawn that would work are the red pick up and white suv , what ever you pick you can have them painted , there are two npc's in a garage you take it to and they customize it for you
You can put almoat anything in campers such as lockers and Idk if it will work but for storage just carry a locker fill up ans carry back to base as an extended personal storage.
Sorry about the motion blur. It doesn't bother me, so I never thought about it bothering other people. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will turn it off from now on.
My apologies. That's part of why I try to skip the nights. Perhaps my brightness setting is higher on my screen than it appears in the video for others, because I don't typically have much difficulty seeing what I need to see. I will try to do better about using the flashlight in the future.
I sure can. You're the second person to request that. I'm sorry about the motion blur. I don't really notice it, so I didn't think about it affecting anybody else. I will have it turned off from now on.
What does your version look like? As I understand it, there is another map after you go through a tunnel, I think on the north end of the current map, and I've read forum posts about some things not working/loading in on one of the maps, but those posts were from last year, so I don't know if they're still valid or not.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson nothing loads in, theres hardly any texture, its just a big open waste of pixels and maybe some houses but its not playable for me for some reason, and i know its not my computer. i wish i could upload screenshots to the comments some how.
@@damioncox-s1c That other map has been emptied from all buildings, animals, etc, for now but there is a new update soon with both maps being joined up, new town, upgrade to enemies and new one's too, upgrades to vehicles and new camper, bandits have been upgraded with armour, new weapons, etc. 🙂 Oh I forgot plus challenges and a story mode too.
That sounds awesome! Any word on when that update will drop? I'm enjoying the game so far, but it definitely has some bugs. Not trying to knock the dev. The game is awesome and I know it's only one or two people working on it, but I'm excited for updates because this game seems like it has SO MUCH potential.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson, I'm not 100% sure when its coming but I read its possible at the end of this month, he's rendering fine details so i believe. 🙂 I just checked for you and the last updated news was a month ago and he said it would be 2 months so another months time.
