The Censored bit was about.. My Brother died in a Police cell. All Lives Matter. He was a writer too. Apache. Peach. Etc etc. Ask Popz100. Rebok Peach. Every panel Every bus.
As an 80's born Gleadless native, Mist, Ask, Pise, Des, Fors, Dial etc were gods... Used to hit the 51 buses from Heeley to Lodge Moore with a school compass and kiwi shoe polish... Recently picked up a can for the first time in decades... Not in Sheff these days, but old bombers don't die, they just bide their time...
What a legend grew up seeing his work and oner (rip), chrome, fista etc. Used to look out for it on the school bus, wasnt hard to spot it was everywhere. Kind of nostalgic watching this.
MIST1 A legend - In Sheffield growing up hearing `n` fearing the name, Man was hardcore when many were there for a short time - Gotta respect this man for his longevity - I met him back in the mid/late 80s at a arcade called Lynx and then at a drop in center where writers gathered and painted. After seeing his work around the Kelvin Flats you knew he was a top player - he learned very early that traveling to paint was the key, Ahead of his time.
I went to NYC, Gettysburg in Pennslyvania and Washington D.C. as part of a one-in-a-lifetime trip in Sixth Form with the History Department. It cost £1,000 in February 2015, and on one of the days in NYC, we visited the Lower East Side at a House which had the set up of how the original Immigrants would have it (Irish/German/Jewish) 100 years ago.
Absolutely loving this... I visit Sheffield a few times a year to meet up with a mate... any chance someone from up there could show me round the spots next time I'm up there?
When I first did Graffiti in September 2017, I tried a rather poor imitation of Robbo's "Robbo Inc." piece on a wall near E.V. Waddington's Boatyard and Swinton Railway Station. I could not afford and hide more than one can the time, so it was rather poor. The "Make America Bomb Again" bit was supposed to mean "Make America do Graffiti again", but, my Politics at the time meant that it maybe also meant that America should drop Bombs on Damascus in Syria. Nevertheless, in July 2018, some people chose to vandalise a Bluebell Wood Hospice sign imitating me rather poorly, as I would never do such a thing, but technically, I did get on the front page of the Dearne Valley Weekender. Finally, I am Autistic, so maybe I don't understand, but do some/many people say: "Robbo had it coming" or "It serves him right for who he was". I know nothing about John Robertson other than that he abandoned Graffiti to raise a family and died in an unusual manner in August 2014.
The problem with me is that, I read the Fixing Broken Windows Theory a year before watching Style Wars, and that I'm disabled and thus I am incapacitated in various ways.
Grew up around the early 00's seeing kame key, stok, just b all around rotherham. I swear kame was on every lampost on my way to school, big inspirations back then, big up!!
I saw your stuff years ago, but I always thought that KEYE ONE/1 was someone who had tagged a few lampposts in Masbrough. I passed them when walking to Rotherham matches. But then, after looking closely on Train, I realised that I had judged a book by its cover, because he is a decent writer.
Everyone thinks Mist1 is a “legendary writer” and yes I somewhat agree but he’s turned into a fool now.. tagging trees, lining people etc.. not legendary anymore..
@@BUDBLOOOD I respect that.. if u really do go over people who slag u off etc that’s okay I’d do that too.. but I’d at least do something that looks good over it instead of a line or a shitty tag
