Mista's music video for their first single, "Blackberry Molasses." Bobby Valentino singing lead. Very deep song for a group their age. One of my all-time favorites. Enjoy the video!
According to Outlawz (Tupac's groups) - this was Pac's favorite song during the last month of his life. They said he played this song several times a day leading up to his death in Sept 1996. RIP 2Pac.
Wow that's interesting to know I was just starting to get into rap music I actually was listening to my very first Tupac session my friend had the whole album so I laid on the bed and listen to it while waiting for her to get dressed while my mom was at the hospital and during me waiting my mom passed away right in the middle of dear Mama when he said if you can make it through the night there's a prior day I just sat up I knew something was wrong... Come to find out we got to the hospital about an hour later she had just passed away and I know I looked right at the clock and when they told me the time my heart sank
Who's here because they needed to get through a tough time in their life and this song will make you she'd a tear but at the end you end up with a smile and a push that makes you go out and make a change
"Blackberry Molasses One of the things that never change You gotta keep pushin on The sun don’t rain all the time There’s gonna be some heart ache And pain" 🖤👑💋💯
When he said “Dont think that im going crazy cause thoughts they runningthrough my head, sometimes I rather give up instead, seem like im better off dead” 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I FELT THAT !
I’m 59 years old and this is my heart song my anthem do to speak it has got me through many a situation and I stayed strong and I’m glad I did so I say thank you
I know that's right. I was a month away from turning 9 years old when this song was released on May 8, 1996. Those were the days. Now days, life is like, ughhh...
Me and my entire family grew up in the hood this video was shot in. Thomasville Heights to be exact. Happy most of us made it out cause this song told the truth about life back then, hell now too. A lot of my childhood friends and some of my relatives died on those streets
This group came to my highschool, Peabody in Pittsburgh back in 96. They were awesome! Sang this song and it always stayed with me! It was a pleasure to see them perform. ♥️♥️
I remember listening to this song as a teenager. I am almost 40. It's amazing how when a person takes the time to write some strong lyrics how long they last. Nothing like speaking truth. I will play this song for my now pre-teen son.
in the projects in Atlanta (Four Seasons and Thomasville housing projects) had the murals of the children that are on the walls in the background in the beginning of this video, the images were homage to the missing and murdered children that were being abducted in the 80's...
I love the song too.a true testament, about hardships in life. But having strong will and determination to press on.love yourself first before you love anybody Else Peace, sweet butterfly,
Me and my twin brother used to listen to this song when we lost our mother suddenly to a heart attack! 20 years ago! Feb 6, 2018 my twin brother suddenly lost his life to a heart attack as well (hereditary condition) in the middle of a real fight right now trying to stay strong I miss you brother I love you and I'll see you on the other side! RIP MIKE B.
This was my cut. I remember when I first heard it. 20 yrs later it's still relevant. They don't make music like this any more fam. Miss those days when they did...
missing the father of my child who passed away February 03, 2015...i first heard this song from my brother who is celebrating 1 and half year of sobriety put me on....my heart aches so much for you Bobby. Rest In Power my King. We will re-unite one day....🕊️🕊️😓😢😭🙏🙏🙌
Exactly if we could have more songs like this it would keep black lives in perspective. We already cool and set the trends we just missing substance now but I won’t preach no more love y’all and all

When I hear, see music like this, the tears flow down my face because these were such good times, my childhood, the innocence. God.... I always pray whenever I pass away, leave me in limbo in the 90's untill the trumpet sound!!
Here in 2019..... brings so many memories from my childhood... singing this song on repeat ❤️❤️ blessings to everyone stay sucka free and push for your dreams !
These boys were before their time. Their whole album was flawless, with live instrumentals. All produced by organized Noize. Ceelo was on it too, since Organized Noise produced Goodie Mob & Outkast.
Have to add even though people are " Clowning" him- A Grown Man. This message will Forever be in our community - This should be Our focus- This song is Still Relevant Now!
THESE YOUNG BROTHERS SANG FROM THE HEART AND SO WHICH MAKES YOU THINK OF OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS THAT WENT THROUGH SO MUCH STRUGGLE AND HOLDING ON TO THE FAITH KEEP ON KEEPING ON GOD BLESS US FOR THIS SONG
Emotionally charged classic! I'm teary eyed over here! Lol! This reminds me of me and my sis Daa'iyah! What a great song! They were so cute too! God I'm old! Lol!
I never heard this track and my first opinion of it is.... why the fuck did I never hear it? it is a dope uplifting song I dig it to the fullest man I miss artist like this.
Yo who's listening to this March 22nd 2022 rocking the old school vibes this played on music box as a kid first time ever heard it stuck with me and now I realize why....
I'm no old head I was born in 88 but I'm telling you I wish this younger generation would give good music a chance when I was a kid I enjoyed the music my parents listened to. I'm not saying that there is no new music that is good but for the most part todays music is garbage compared to the past maybe that's my opinion but what I hear most of the kids listening to these days just makes me wish they'd give the classics a chance they are missing out and I don't just mean rap I'm speaking on music in general its just not the same anymore...I love when new artists come out that have that classic vibe...people say music evolves like everything else but I feel it was evolved all it needed to be 10 or 15 years ago lol...its all my opinion but I'm sure there is someone out there who feels what I'm saying!
It's 9:10 a.m. in the morning and I just started humming the words to this song and had to come to RU-vid to listen to this cut & watch the video. #timeless. Wow!! 😍❤️🔥🎼💯
I got into this back in 2005 when MTV or vh1 had a channel that only played R&B music. Really liked this song. Sang it last week aloud while on my way to a class at CU. 🎶
I listen to this when things and life gets hard sometimes. The struggle is real out here in these streets. It keeps me grounded and humble to life challenges we face sometimes. Remember Stay strong, keep your faith, and never surrender. Thanks to 2pac I found out about this song rip baby (we love you always).
When I say I've been playing this song since I was a little girl I mean it LOL this song brings back so many memories it just makes me think about so many things I thank God for this song it just takes me back to a time when life was good I really do miss the 90s I miss this Vibe right here
I don't care what got you here but I'm glad you're feeling the song. I wish I knew back then what I've learned now...Heartache, pain, and everybody wanting a sum. Kids still dreaming scheming and underachieving. The strength to persevere is bittersweet, ephemeral and beautiful.
I LOVE MISTA them boys could saaaaang! Actually got to sing with them back in the day in ATL and got to be a an extra in this vid...lol...check out my 2 seconds at 3:11...lol
