My friends and I smoked with Jacka at Rock the Bells. He came on stage with Freeway. He seen us smoking heavy in row 3. He passed us his blunt. Then came in the crowd and smoked our weed and watch Freeway perform. Ill never forget that day. Rip Jacka
Yup facs he was a koo ass dude like that ..I smoked with him at the flamingo club in Stockton CA at his album release party for tear gas .it was lit r.i.p jack for ever missed coming from a Stockton native yeee
When Jack died I stopped listening to rap for two years straight. He was truly my favorite rapper for over ten years and it still fuckin hurts me to think he's not here fuckin the game up rn. His rawness, his grit, and street smarts were unmatched when it comes to other artists. The first concert I ever went to was him and Cellski here in modesto and it was one of the best nights of my life. It was a small venue but I felt like I was seeing 2pac.. when lil Wayne launched young money and brought Drake out and were the only thing being played on the radio I HATED IT. I listened to NOTHING but the FIGGAZ and Mac Dre. Those days in my life I hold dear because that's when I was truly trying to find myself as a man and I'll never forget it. 💯💯💯💯💯 Rest in peace to the HARDEST ARTIST. 👑
He was differnt was playing his ish for 10+ yrs str8 or more at Sjsu bumping in dorms, putting those from la & other parts of CA & out of state new friends up on him @ state & of course as you mentioned Mac Dre. We associate music w a lot of memories & flash back bro all the time! I heard that when I was in hs I think on kmel or something & it is so true tho! All we have is memories we can cherish bro! What you put was very well stated bro! Reading what you put also put some things for me into perspective! Mad love all the way out to the 209 & Modesto! Too many great bay legends/rappers gone these days bro. I was putting ppl up on killa Keise at Sjsu too! Rip to him & Mac Dre Jack black c all the talented artists we’ve lost!… it’s crazy in itself to think about all these unsolved bay rappers murders man! Where’s the next generation of bay artists? 🤷🏻♂️🤔 Is there any talented artists still out in the bay in 2024? 🤔… someone throw out some names.. 90’s & 00’s put that expectation bar up too high for bay rap tho. Hard to find good artists getting old I suppose.
I did the Pretty Black documentary it was a success, I did the Johnny Ca$h documentary it was a success now my highest request is doing the Jacka documentary the right way this will be legendary.... #ripthejacka #whathappenedtotheworld
I found the jacka through pandora radio in high school all the way in New Orleans haven’t stopped listening since. He put me on to my favorite rappers like fab, j Stalin husallah man what a legend
I met the Jacka at the Washington State Fair the year he passed away. He was chill and gave my boy and I his most recent album on CD. I still have it and it’s in the original plastic, never been opened. Memories. Rest In Peace.

can't believe it was nine years ago that he died... still feels like it just happened. remembering how I felt when I got that text message at 5 in the morning. couldn't go back to sleep so I rolled some j's. hopped in the car with some cds and slapped jacka teargas and highway robbery. looked for anyone to race with before the morning traffic hit. found some, blew off some steam racing between stoplights and the exits on 280. took great highway, smoked a j at fort funston, then hit skyline drive. found a silver dodge charger to play with on the windy roads around pacifica and held my own. took the devils slide tunnel. got absolutely smoked by a white nissan gtr on highway 1 haha that guy was brave. Those are winding roads on the edge of a cliff for miles and he went all out and left me in the dust haha. then I kept going down the coast past half moon bay and didn't turn around until I started to feel normal again.
