I don't mind the giving of Rat Boots tbh, the dodge roll distance with regards to pits is a bit of a tricky thing with any character with lower movement/dodge roll speed. When I learn how, I plan on properly remaking the mistake with custom items. The mistake intentionally gets a huge discount in shops because the shopkeeps feel sorry for him. My personal strategy is to beeline it for the shop. (He also gets a huge dmg boost to throwing guns, but nobody would ever notice that because nobody ever throws guns) Overall, 10/10, would mistake again.

you should make it so that , if possible, the mistake's past is just deleting MS paint off of a guy's computer. no fight or anything, just removing MS paint, seeing the artist say "wtf, why is my computer missing MS paint?!" and then mistake just zooms away like finishing any other past

Bastian Frost probably where I picked it up without realizing it....have frequently used it to avoid having to roll over pits unless absolutely necessary. Always have these random times where I roll too early

There’s literally a room in the tutorial that made him do that, well guess he got, but still, and also there’s a different room over the pit, so he should’ve go there first and then teleport over the pit

Well the point is that there are just some rooms he cant cross due to the dud dodge roll, that means he cant full clear the map, maybe cant even get to the boss room. Thats technically game breaking right?

I would love to see a Rainbow Run with this character eventually. This was really fun to see you figuring out tricks to win and I think a Rainbow Run like you sugested before switching to just using pigs could be cool

The RGG is the one from my mod I made for ya. The only other rng-based gun is from Neighborino's mod, and each shot from it has random stats

A version of the mistake with the bloodied scarf would be interesting. It’s considered by some to be a bad item but would actually help just like the grappling hook.

What i would love is a character this bad but in exchange every chest that drops is an unlocked rainbow chest. Actually that sounds like a challenge idea: if the mistake is so bad. The rules are you must play as the mistake however you start with the sheleton key and every chest you find you spawn in a rainbow chest.

someone needs to mod in a character that's almost exactly this, but they start with red health and a new modded item (i don't know if this exists) that's portable pit device that works exactly like portable table device, but puts down pits. that way you can utilize the reverse knockback, but it's not OP because the only reason you can is because it goes on cooldown after 3 uses.

I feel like giving up the hellfire synergy was a bad play. Being able to just tap once and light an enemy (except bosses) a blaze permanently seemed pretty stronk. Seems the key to this character is single shot weapons, anything fully auto is pretty much a death sentence?

If there were to be a past for this guy it should be him fighting his creator to make it so he doesn't end up the way he is, so you'd get a skin for him that makes him look... Better to say the least

Hmm... I do think the idea of actually having the bullets themselves ineffective isn't a bad idea. Maybe halve the pull distance, remove the speed and dodge roll penalties, remove the extra curse, and remove the bullet size down... Then make it so that direct shots do 10% damage outside the starter weapon. To compensate for this, double the effectiveness of all status effects and bullet modifiers, provide 3 active item slots and double damage provided by their effects. Then give it an active item that provides a chaos bullet-esk "shockwave" to all bullets for a limited time where you have to intentionally graze enemies to do damage and cause status effects. Granted, I've never looked into the mod scene here, so something like that might already exist.

Imma be perfectly honest, I for one would not be any form of upset if you said you were never going to play The Mistake again. Just starting off the video, about five minutes in, and it's just kinda honestly not even fun to watch. I can only imagine how annoying this was to play.
