@@slowukrainian les Québécois parlent le québécois. Ça ressemble au français, mais c'est du québécois. Les Québécois comprennent ce que disent les Français, mais les Français ne comprennent pas toujours ce que disent les Québécois, car ils ont créé une vraie langue au fil des siècles.

@slowukrainian As a province of Canada, where the official language is english, the official language in Quebec is french. 90% of people speak french here, yet 50% of people also speak english. There are many bilinguals. Historically, people from France settled here and were speaking an old version of french that is different from the french spoken in France today. The english also settled in North America during that time. Over time, the english language influenced the french (there was a time when the english oppressed the french speaking population, which also was a factor in the influence). This resulted in a french that is even more different than the french in france that many people call quebecois (though it's still french). Around the city of Montreal and to the west near the province of Ontario, people use a lot of english terms. But if you move eastward from Montreal towards Quebec City and further, you will get more quebecois who won't understand these english terms and use more proper french terms instead that some from the area of Montreal will not be familiar with.
