You beat me to this upload! For some reason, KET's airing of MRN look slightly lower quality than airings on other stations. I'm not sure why, but if you've seen the MRN funding variants I've uploaded from KET, they appear, at least to me, a little "blocky/pixelated", but it's hardly noticeable.

I want to bet it's due to bad deinterlacing. They probably did the kind where you just display one field and then the other with no interpolating or algorithms involved, which is what makes it appear blocky. Going from 480i to 1080i looks a bit better on the other hand, since you can just upscale the individual fields. And yeah, I was thinking you may have wanted to upload this too...I probably would have done it either way, heh.

VaultHS It's alright, yours looks much better anyway! Not saying my copies look awful, you really can't tell the quality is slightly lower until you actually look at it closely. This episode is the first one I've captured in 3 weeks. My scheduled recording would never start, so I'd miss the whole episode completely! I finally got that issue fixed, and now we're good. I still will never understand why: A.) This only airs on Sundays. B.) Why the PBS Kids channel can't at least air this once a week.

Today, I checked the discs on the MRN "It's A Beautiful Day" DVD box set I checked out of the library. Same thoughts about the interlacing and there is something not quite right about the use of the NET variant of the intro to precede EVERY SINGLE EPISODE even though all of the episodes on the set, with the exception of a bonus episode (a color one from 1969, not the B&W one as advertised) on disc 4, are from the 1979 revival; bear in mind that NET became PBS on October 4, 1970. Suppose I can't be too critical of the set though. I've long admired the series, many of the episodes on the set are interesting to me and so I might watch some at some point during the week.

Does the company name to the right of the words "funded by Sears" use Dennis Haysbert as the present day spokesman since 2003?

You mean like the WHYY logo was on the bottom right side of mister Rogers neighborhood: learning 1655 in 2003 for a PBS kids air?

Did that episode have a old PBS logo at the end or was it plastered?

Never mind. I think it was plastered. By the way, can you upload some PBS Kids Channel breaks from KERA and KNCT if they have local content during them?
@vaulths8992

It was plastered, yeah. And KERA and KNCT both pull from the national feed on the Kids channel, so no, there's no local content during them.

VaultHS Do either of your stations still air old bumpers like the one in one of PBSfanatics recent program breaks?
@vaulths8992

KERA keeps *very* up-to-date with their stuff, so definitely no there. KNCT has been using the same promos for the longest time, but all of them are HD-era promos so it's nothing ancient. I think some go as far back as 2012 though.

VaultHS Have any of your stations had local PBS Kids Channels that switched to the national one?

I know, I uploaded it overnight and don't have time to fix it right now. I'll fix it later.

Oh, well! Any way, you sure have fun re-airing the environment 1620 from mister Rogers neighborhood on PBS in 1991!
