I'm glad you're alive 💛 YOU did it! I went through a heavy depression just as I was finishing grad school. Then hit my absolute rock bottom when I graduated. Sleeping 18+ hours a day and not being able to stay awake longer than 10 minutes. Finally got the support and meds I needed and haven't been admitted in almost 3 years. This song is so validating.

thank you for sharing your story, esp the bedridden part. i am bedridden as well from mental illness and psychosomatic pain, and still sometimes feel shame around it, because i never hurt of people living for years in their bed despite being physically well. you helped me go easier on myself.

My therapist showed me this song. She said she's been holding it for me for a while. I "broke up" with my biological father and his wife, finally ending a 35 year cycle of abuse and recovering from repressed trauma. I am honored she sees me in this song, and grateful I can see me in it too. It's never too late to heal from trauma. It's never too late to take your power back. Live. Thrive. Survive in spite of them, because fuck those people who would perpetuate harm in that way.

omg i relate to you so much!!! my biological dad and stepmom were verbally abusive and very manipulative and ive finally been able to break free of that situation. ive been able to work on myself ever since and learn how to be happy again and move past the trauma. it feels amazing knowing im not the only one whos gone through something like this

I hope you see this after a year, but your comment was new to me! NEVER discount your achievements by comparing them to others! YOU DID IT!! YOU set that goal and YOU made it! You need to do for you. Everyone’s struggles are real and theirs to own and conquer. I hope you are making it through 8th grade. You can do it! My Spotify Summary says my Music Aura is Positive and Inspirational. Songs like this helped me know ME better. Im 2 suicidal, was depressed, family issues. Songs like this made me do a complete 360 in my life and now I love my life and never want to take away or have thoughts of self harm. Im more open and speak up about my problems and or issues which in turn has ridden me of my depression and I also have better relationship with my sister and dad. Seeing you all's comments warms my heart to know that positive songs like this help me and so many others.

My elbows and head-bobs work overtime to keep up with the beat but I play this song on BLAST in the car when I need a pick me up. It's happened a lot this year: I didn't get a graduation ceremony, got laid off, struggled with job searching during the pandemic, am now a caretaker for my mother who broke both her wrists while recovering from Covid-19. Life can be really difficult sometimes, but praise God I am alive, my family is healthy, and we can thrive through the struggle.
