I'm playing very casually so I guess I don't need this passkey but I just wanted to sing praise to how concise such videos of Mukluk's are. Glad we have a guy like him in GW2 community.
@@CuvelierPhilippe i use the WvW map for mystic forge, and at least there's a portal to LA. sure it takes a while but u can get to a town with 1 extra load screen
I bought the Mistlock Sanctuary pass a few months ago because of you, 200% worth it, just because it's so damn beautiful. Also having access to the fractals and their NPCs/vendors is such a nice QoL feature. Also! Something that I find really fun about Mistlock is that you can activate Viirastra's marbles and bounce around with your special ability. It's a nice little mini game.
Me when I saw this video in my recommended: "I don't need to watch it, I already own the item and now its value!" Me after watching the video: "I CAN WAYPOINT WHILE INSIDE THE SANCTUARY?!?!" You changed my life!
I was hoping it isn't worth it haha. I honestly don't mind purchasing gems for this game from time to time. But, I just spent about $100 on GW2. Bought the ultimate edition, bag and bank upgrade and then all the living worlds so happy I did. Love this game!!! Glad I came back to the GW universe, should have never left.
When I bought the deluxe PoF upgrade, I got 4000 gems with it: blew pretty much all of it on unbreakable harvesting tools (unbound magic) and the Mistlock Sanctuary passkey, and never regretted it for a minute.
Mistlock didn't exist when I got PoF. But I still use the Lily of the Elon pass daily. The original unbreakable harvesting tools didn't have glyph slots.
@@KurentEweser Yeah, the unbound ones didn't either, back then they were permanently that way. Glyphs were added later, and the vendor was created so you could trade in your tools for ones with glyphs. It's really better this way, you can combine the appearance you like with the functionality you prefer. I'm not even sure how I would get my alts to start Crystal Oasis without the Lily of Elon pass. :D
You can also access the Fractals from the Mistlock Sanctuary as well as ALL Fractal vendors from the Fractal Hub. Also mind that the crafting stations are very close to the TP and the Bank, and you can easily port around with the special action key. One activity NPC is also located in the Mistlock Sanctuary (if it is daily).
omg I didn't realise about the tiers on the map in mistlock... I have been using the portal in the middle this whole time and then WP from there :( Even though you didn't aim to help with this fact you helped me! I think it is worth it if you do a lot of crafting. ez to jump between TP and craft station almost instantly. And being able to TP back to previous location is something I couldn't live without now. "bro tell me when the boss, meta etc. is starting so I can TP back"
It even lets you reset your high cooldowns (like the White Mantle Portal Device ;) ) if you have Mistlock Singularity mastery, enter fractals and use the Singularity in the lobby. If it's a very high cooldown, talk to the golem spawner and set the checkpoint to that point. Then /gg to die to reset your cooldowns twice. (Just don't leave fractals by using the Passkey, use the Door Icon over mini map; then when in Mistlock Sanctuary, use the Passkey to end up back in Open World)
I have the mistlock passkey and I wanted to add one little neat thing about it that wasn't covered in the video. if you jump of the edge of one of the platforms, gravity will suddenly reverse itself instead you simply plummeting to your doom. What great advantage does this give you? Well nothing really, but it sure is fun to bonk your character's head on the underside of the platforms.
Thank you for videos such as these! I'm still very new to the game as a whole and it can be overwhelming at times but I'm loving it and I'm so grateful for all the helpful videos and guides that you create!
For those finding this video before April 17th 2023 the Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey is in the gem store for 800 gems, not the full 1000 gem store price. I do highly recommend it, especially if you plan to do fractal content at some point as well in addition to its other perks.
@@robertasradzevicius5264 It comes and goes from the gem store. It is not always there, it shows up every few months or so and then leaves the store for a while. So it can take patience and saving gems for it depending.
@@robertasradzevicius5264 You'll have to wait for it to come back into rotation, which could be weeks or months, it randomly shows up for periods of a time and then leaves again for a while.
Abso-100%-lutely worth it! It's by far my favorite lounge and the only one I still use regularly. Keep it in an account slot for ultimate convenience across every alt. Fun place to hang out, too.
The Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey is in the gem store atm for 700 gems and a time period of less than 24 hours before it leaves the store at this current moment of posting this comment. Good luck to those of you waiting for it.
@Mukluk, All the crafting stations have a bank tab. You don't need to go to the bank teller to deposit the crafted items. That's a quality of life in the game.
Just got this on sale! Great item for trying to get around from new areas since its across a big great sea. Helps on travels costs for sure! Thank you for video!
I found it made the game a way more bearable. Something missing (unless I don't know better) is the Black Lion guy, but a quick free jump to LA and right back again. Shared slots and MS remove a lot of wasted time from my game play, for sure.
Few questions Will it teleport you if your dead? Will you return to your old location if you teleport after a map closure or log out? You can be healed at Elon and return to your old map. If you leave Elon, log out, or change maps from closure you can't return to where you were. If you go to PvP from the world and log out, you can return to the world from where you left it. Also, does Mistlock have a fishing vendor now?
I have to say. The lily of the elon (got the deluxe PoF on release) functions the same way. Didnt realise at the time so i bought the permanent mistlock pass.
My rule is I like to get 1 hour of fun per $1 I spend on video games. Considering I am at 1 hour of fun for every quarter spent (base game/both expansions/infinite tools/mistlock) I would encourage people in the same boat as me to support anet with the purchase of this! Anet could monetize way more than they do but they don't! And they let you gold to gems! Giving them money encourages them to make more for the game :)
So, I have the Royal Terrace pass. While I can't double click it to return, I can walk to the exit portal and return to the prior map. This takes me right back to the same spot and I've used this for alt parking.
Nice video, considering to buy this, but i plan to throw some real money since i just gave 220gold for the spellforge backpack. but it seems like a good investment. Mostly like it because of the fractal theme
Thanks Mukluk now I can copy and paste this link to my discord for a friend of mine and Red's who argues "Mistlock pass is a waste of inventory space and not worth it"
@Mukluk No, it is not for me as when I come back I am having to come back as a new player you Global Icon and Brand Ambassador :). SO no not for me as I have so many things i need to get for my account again. However yes eventually it will be worth it as it is quality of life.
FYI it sometimes fks you with the return location of pain in the ass jumping puzzle locations, so I'd not recommend if you hate repeating them. Else it's a must for all your crafting toon loot box alts...
Great video. For those of us with Lily of the Elon Pass (came when I purchased HOT and POF), is it worth it to buy this? It is frustrating to see this benefit IS NOT included in other passes. No doubt if there was ONE to buy, this is it, but if you already have one..... I wish this question was answered in this video
It isn't something answered because it is a personal choice. I had lily of the elon and for me it was worth it to get the mistlock pass. For you: it depends on how often you would use the features unique to mistlock. I definately make use of the port-back feature so I get a lot of mileage out of it.
@@MuklukRU-vid Follow up a week later. Pass was back in the Gem Store, bought, can't stop using it....such a good buy. The teleport back is what makes it so awesome. Thanks for the recommendation...
worth it, If you do fractals = mistlock pass wvw = armistice bastion pass not worth it otherwise and if you are unsure. You can buy 2 week passes for a few statuettes. just so you can try it out before spending 1000gems
@@GuiltyTroll One of the best features it has. Also the only thing it is missing is direct access to raids, which it kinda gives too since you can go to the aerodrome from there. It's got everything, quite literally (except map/expansion specific mechanics like PoF bounties, but it would make very little sense if you could access that from a map that's not even in Elona)
I need to attune my ascended rings and i need to buy something off a vendor in that location, i don't know how to travel there but I do have a 2 week passkey in my inventory.. just wanted to see if it was worth using it or not.
Hi muk, another thing i want because of you..... but more worth it for somebody living in US will be to help people from EU with gw2 merch items. I just lost one hour of life trying to get my things just to see shiping and taxes on top of that.....
How is the performance here? There's a lot of people here so I'm hesitant about buying it. I worry that I'll have 30 fps max because of all the people there.
Our pc's will differ but I personally haven't had any issues here in that regard. Like any zone in gw2 they are multiple instances if it gets too populated, and also you can turn down the number of people you are rendering in the UI if it does get to be too much. I use that setting for metas sometimes.
Considering the amount of gold you have to spend on gems to buy the mistlock passkey is it actually "profitable"? I have characters parked at Jumping Puzzles which I open once a day, and then I jump into the PVP lobby do the Jumping Puzzle there too, and if I need to I can access the bank etc there, now I will say my characters are level 21 and don't have any crafting abilities they just need to get me Silver Doubloons XD
Maybe I’m missing something or it worked otherwise 2 years ago… BUT: what if you use the PVP banker/vendor? It also puts you back in the world. You can also use it with parked alts. I don’t get this. I don’t know when you shot this video, but when I go there, the place is so crammed and busy it’s everything but a lounge. You can’t see anything because of all the people inside. I’m glad I bought the trial. I don’t see the point of getting this. Maybe I’ll try armistice, maybe it’s not so crowded as this.
As I recall the standard pvp lobby doesn't have general use crafting stations in it for one. Also the mistlock passkey has fractal themed npcs right there, a fractal portal so you can just port in and do that sort of stuff among other things. Yes the pvp lobby is a good free version, however, Mistlock offers some things it doesn't have.
You don’t use pvp lobby for crafting for sure. But you can offload there, no problem. In Mistlock the fractals stuff is very nice indeed and the fact that you can see and access the world map is even better. But man, that jumping, watch your step, Amiga music and crowd… I couldn’t stomach it. Went with Bastion, and I don’t regret it a bit, even though I don’t do any WvW … yet. I can sit at the bar, I can sit at the terrace, I have dummies, I can unwind without everybody stepping on my toes, it doesn’t kick me out of the Tolkien world. I love it. Let’s not forget the teleport keys, the mystic forge with crafting stations. And also… had a veteran tell me, Mistlock is an elitist lounge. 😂 So there’s that. I’m no l33t.
@@gerdez I sometimes find myself listening to music outside the game so in game music is either turned off or not as loud maybe? Its easy and quick enough to get around in Mistlock imo, especially with the special action key movement that you might have experienced in Shattered Observatory where in this lobby it has half a second cooldown. Basically you can launch yourself around the lobby. The jumping is for fun I suppose? If you fall off into the abyss you just sort of float from what I know. Also, this, "veteran," calling it an elitist loud sounds like someone's own delusional personal opinion. Anyway, may you continue to enjoy Armistice. :D
@@Tragulon 🤪 He was joking with the l33t thing. I found it funny. I met him in Mistlock, during the trial I had. Regarding my original comment, after having access to lounges, I must admit that it is definitely worth it over PvP lobby. You can get by with PvP lobby, but from convenience point of view I must agree with Mukluk. GLHF.
Mistlock sanctuary is not only for convenience, to me it's the nicest map in the game to just chill in. The music is sublime, floating around with low gravity is calming, and chasing the ball around the area is funner than it should be. I get annoyed how hardly anyone jumps in to help finish it, lol. What's wrong with you people?!?
As of when I'm writing this, according to fast.farming-community.eu/open-world/alt-parking , you make about 37silver farming the verdant brink flax farm, and about 90silver opening a bjora chest. So at this time, yes.
The PvP lobby does put you back where you entered from yes, but it cannot access the world map (so no waypointing out) and has no crafting stations. That said, if the pvp lobby meets your needs, it is a free option!
Sounds like it might be worth to more advanced players who have already bought the more important items and have multiple max-level characters... So not for me, at least not yet...
@@johnjhill3 eh, you can do that in LA and you get to LA from PvP Lobby/WvW maps. I would honestly recommend other Account Upgrades before a passkey of this kind. Material Storage expansion, Bank tabs, character slots, Salvage-o-matic, etc. Or even the Living Story chapters, in case they still don't have those. passkey is mostly for luxury and convenience, not so much for making progress in the game
me : oh this is great i have to save up and buy it also me after reading comments : wait a second , why spend my gold when i just need to port to pvp area
If all you need is bank access the pvp area definitely does the trick, but the pvp area does not have crafting stations if you need your parked characters crafting skills. Depends on your needs!
I got it after a few months of playing. I sometimes just like to go there to fly around and chill while chatting to a friend. PS - I have only been playing for about a year and a half, so I don't know when it was first available
MuklukRU-vid thanks, I think it’s different cause my screen they glow heaps. Hey I was at auric basin and the map chat said you were there. Didn’t see you but I was at west.
I don't have any alts parked at any chests. I still have this passkey but I don't play games to log in and out of several characters for virtual gold but each to their own :)
How much gold you need to convert to 1000 gems? The QoL sounds like the decision maker, the idea that you’ll make it back from the teleport sounds like a hoax 💀
It's 300g, and don't forget the shared inventory slot you may have to get as well, which is another 215g. It's not cheap, can take a while to pay for itself, and requires having characters you don't use that also have crafting professions you need often. So, kinda niche, but very good at what it does.
@@MuklukRU-vid tbh, if you do the gold conversion of gems and try to compare in terms of gold what you gain from not paying waypoints or not spending time running, I doubt it's gonna be worth it. It can be convenient but I dunno if "worth it" is the good thing to say
"Its totally worth it to me. It may not be for you." Sounds like he thinks it is, but based on what he's presented he's saying it's up to you to decide if it's worth it
