Moto Guzzi V85TT exhaust by Mistral mid and header pipes vs stock.
The Mistral mid and header pipes give much deeper tone and little louder. Bike sounds amazing much safer on the road and pulls much better. Also bike has installed Mistral V Twin Boost.

That's what I'm thinking of doing. Mistral down pipes and Y pipe with stock muffler. I have the Agostini exhaust on my V9 Bobber and although is sounds phenomenal, after an hour of riding with full face helmet can get tiring. It also attracts way too much attention from the cops. Same goes with my Aprilia Tuono with MIVV pipes. My neighbors can hear it but frankly, fuck'em I don't care about them. On the V85TT I'd like to make just a hair louder, eliminate the heat from the catalytic converters and replace the down pipes made of milf steel which rust. Plus, the better flow from oversize piping and loss of weight.

Good video review on Mistral exhaust system change and Mistral plug to keep ECU running properly; I’m about to receive a 2022 V85TT Centenario and hope to follow your lead with these modifications I like the fact that the engine runs richer and cooler thanks John

Stock muffler? Definitely changed the tone which is interesting if the muffler was the same. Sounds good. Thing that gets me with modern Guzzies that I hear on here is lack of induction noise. I like to hear a motor breathe. Not sure what the options are with Guzzies though.

To hear the induction soundtrack you must modify the air box. Usually a bad idea, the factory has made the Airbox with the correct volume in mind and the way the air gets drawn in. Start messing with that and either your torque and horsepower may increase or suffer. You can increase the flow safely by installing a less restrictive filter but you must be sure that your fuel mixture is correct by fooling the ECU to dump more fuel or give false reading through the O2 sensors. Just remember that these are air cooled bikes that somehow they managed to meet the strictest emission numbers. Personally, I don't care about emissions, so what if I kill a few birds, I just want my engine to run well and reliably.

Well, I just installed the Arrow De-cat pipes on my V-85TT. I haven't received the muffler from Arrow yet, therefore I'm using the stock muffler. I don't think I like it. Nope, no good. I have a tin can sound, all the muffling is done by the catalytic converter, frankly speaking, I have no idea why they even bothered with the muffler. If you go with the de-cat Y pipe then an aftermarket can is a MUST. Also, installing an aftermarket can gives you the option of regulating the sound and the tone. The stock muffler simply won't do that.

Do you need to reflush the ECU with the mistral decat system? Less heat? Do you feel the engine running better, stronger, breathing better?? Any problems with oil leaking??thanks!

Hi You don't need to re-flush the ECU when use V-Twin boost from Mistral a simple plug in unit. Actually I will not recommend to do any changes bike's ECU. No other problems, no leaking. The bike works flawless.

Maybe just the decat for the engine to breathe better. As the continuous high noise from the muffler might be annoying on long trips. What do you think?

The exhaust system its great. Its not to loud when you on higher RPMS. Its gets mild. I do have full system installed now including muffler from Mistral. I will post video some time soon.

I would also appreciate a follow up video of the complete mistral exhaust system and curious what exhaust can did you decide upon; DB killer in or out? And is the bike continuing to run properly with the Mistral plug? Thanks Again John
