this really makes me wanna just pull the trigger on playing MW in S4. I've been intimidated by the sheer number of buttons but you break it down concisely and let us know which buttons actually matter. Thanks, Meg!
yeah Monk has way too much button bloat just make macros that damage/heal based on your current target or mouseover. I link stuff like renewing mist + tigers palm on the same key BLK+Soothing mist, RSK+Vivify, Chi burst+enveloping mist you can probably do more but those 4 cover the bulk of the dps + healing rotation on 4 keys
idk why people are saying it's a difficult spec... it's definitely higher APM, but it's manageable. But i also mained afflock for a long time, so i could be biased. I say give it a shot! I main MW now and highly recommend it if you like dynamic classes.
Until very recently, MW was extremely punishing in terms of personal defensives/survivability mostly, but also not having access to group survivability tools Thankfully this has been fixed with buffs and addition of things like Chi Cocoons. MW is also a melee healer which poses its own problems, especially in the Dragonflight dungeons which are notoriously melee unfriendly, some of which are during heal checks. There is an extensive list of interactions between our active abilities and passive abilities as well as during our CDs which are not nearly as simple as other classes. Chi-ji is one of the most complicated CDs in the game. It can be very daunting for new players but it also may not be an issue for people until a certain key level. Low floor/high ceiling type of thing
you make MW sound fun to play and easy to grasp. ive been a resto shaman main this season but after watching this guide i think my groups gonna be happy when I tell them i'm ready to gear a MW :)
The New Recent QE (Questionably Epic) Preservation Videos from Voulk and YouTee are really really good, also Aerith Heart (EyelashTV) has been incredible - though hasn't updated recently that I have seen
Hi there, I know I'm late, but this video, as a guide, how it expose damage and healing rotations, even hybrid ones, based on how much enemies or allies need healing, IS FUCKING AWESOME.
I have a hard time w/ reactive damage due to having to pump with soothing mist > envelope > on multiple targets. I feel like I have to rely a lot on my dps to not get hit by shit in keys now vs the last patches. I'm glad I've been doing what you've described in this vid tho! You do make the best healer content on youtube. 🙌
I just tried mistweaver for the first time since they got their fistweaving rework yesterday, and it felt so good. The rotations aren’t hard, but figuring them out on your own seems difficult
Love these pre-season information videos. Great refresher on the changes and what to expect going in. I'm, sadly, probably going to be spending a lot of time going through the shadowlands campaign to get that glyph for jadefire stomp. I've been putting it off and taking a wow break for the last few weeks :(
It shouldn't take *too* long, since it's zone rep not covenant rep, and the Darkmoon Fair isn't too far off, but I agree it's kinda cringe they have it restricted like that
started dragonflight as a MW and i took some time off and went resto shammy for s2 and 1/2 of 3 going back to MW 1/2 way through s3 and will finish off Dragonflight as MW. looking forward to more videos
It would be very helpful if there was a section titled something along the lines of “changes from season 3”. Love your content and this is still helpful!
raid it's looking like Seedling/Call, keys could be Call, Rageheart, Ire, Deathsnare, and a lot of others for damage but those are prob the one's I'll use
Hopefully in War Within our multi target rotation isn't "spam spînning crane kick until either your finger or keyboard gives up". I love the single target gameplay so much, but boy is it quickly boring in big pulls (basically any good M+ high key group).
If we can leave EF off your bars, does this also mean we no longer need it for our Chi-Ji rotation? The last guide i found about that is a bit old and I haven't played for a while.
Sorry about that, I’ll update them for the future Here’s keys: B4QAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA0SKFJJElSLCpERSjiUSRAAAAAAAAAAAAASLRJJhkEtCQSSDCBAQkGA And raid: B4QAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUiCSkQp1IkSkkUiCt0aBAAAAAAAAAAAAk0SUQIJRpAQSLJJRAAEaE
I'm new to Mistweaver Monk and i got 2 questions. 1. I'm i suppose to upkeep renewing mist on everyone kind of like a lifebloom on druid or just apply it when heavy healing is needed? 2. Which spells should i be mainly empowering with Thunder focus tea? Sorry for the noob questions.
hi, still not the best MW but i'm trying to keep the RM up on everyone ONLY when my tank is chain packing either way i'm just setting my 2 RW then only when heal needed i'm using my channel mist to put the other RW with envelopping mist that will put RW on my allies without RW. Personnaly i use it firstly on the RW to enhance the duration, or during fight on the Sun rising kick to enhance the duration on all the RW and doing more damages
Sorry for delayed response 1. Typically you can toss it up on CD on people between pulls or if there's going to be rot damage throughout the fight. If not, hold onto it for prio healing utilizing Chi Harmony. 2. If you need survivability, Expel Harm. If you need Zen Pulse/Echoing Reverberation, Enveloping Mist, and otherwise it can just be used on RSK
Nevermind, YT literally referred your short in my recommended videos. For anyone wondering, just make a macro for pings with this: /ping [@mouseover,harm] Warning; [@mouseover,help] Ping; [@mouseover,exists] Ping /stopmacro [@mouseover,exists] /ping
Hey I have a question about rm. Should we use it on cd to maintain on everyone in group. Also when we already maintaining rw on everyone does it matter who i use it on to extend duration of rm
I admittedly don't know how the OmniCD imports work but this is the import for the "General + Friendly" profile: vs12UTnmm0FOTbkkQBpUUEzdyOnyopSNeGwIstWCTdSDxB(7hfLDBhq7ggmcadVE4HImQIRJnxL7YdP2I4U(UPXIW4uA6(XZsdlAJnx84XH844dPtr(F9hNo031CxQT9TCj1TzF)BMGdB67(7j)nSw(AwLgMovC44Iq(XPHedyb(dPdBzzP9gpMBBxF6yE2R8qxQ988UC34HFLJ)OMW5iWIt3L6Up1UQ)LPsmCkEP1zbVrhmkvWaGpU79efBEKTaaconGgnPmwXIUM8)beo7pGauCQTFZpZBzlVkyGzWeaqJoJvBuAR2tpdgpQrTZXgbW5D6QLPf6B)HB33Y)Mkj622(heW1K2u49YuN95y)4HLXqAAkTzFSz9nR(6fxwODEEKNEHI(D7yfFpET(PbFX43(YvFE9tuG0dwTU0xewaxrsPiq5Rswpf4rsJ2cQavKuyWzeJAKSHIKXh4ELfqq7WAoqk4eDeW9UejQqmyKSXCrnhfJ(IktqlLu79wLyZgiOM0f4y4cwtKXAqrY5XIfNJQGl4vG0oQacgjku5vwbkAYGAvXp(fJGdTvPferEhnhhOvslZXhOfq6vv(WqvocTKtlWKcsv8mCLW4xBEqszTfrOYBCtOMJvBWAjSeqluduPqU4KrKmmyNHezDcrxWlwPahAnQA7XVWfDuaqblwNxsVY7SgblfFQSHcCM5bJJ8cj655Yc5Puv39KY(0laPoCxHqLx4nobngYAMN78o4mdbbtfRmy0vMXoRXry1lDadwRSNj3DQN42KAZXRHpynXMT5r(G3qAk)rEhyENS52NVmoUV)HvTPt5HL110qUljNG(VwuELLJ6x8M76o8PZ5dQVJpnKUVD63p and this is for "Spell Editor": v5yqRoimqq4)q(GxQv0EwVyF0iy65f3gJ1GXOyIs7f)T)wT0c9YYSdFZSlWGRap8qe7umPeYwC6UYTjRvn4SXdCg4bXT5MMpGcPbDoqCPG)hi6XhLOTZTrk8phv7zvwNEHKwSNM52LHo1AvAR(NZ6G1kFlTvQQjRj0seUrLC7xyFUcD18mAlK6BEc96b73)vYVBmAj5ZtIJJyh3RXy2J9Uepaf9wDAMS2fK9k8))
I'm assuming the Key import text is for the 'Import Loadout' in-game, however I get an error when trying to import it ... anyone got this issue as well? 🙂🙂
