I feel like he wasn't afraid to die or didn't mind dying from the way he explained everything and how like no time to stop and how one day there will be no pain and yea
i like mitch so mutch for hes filosofie, i can understand if not everyone thinks that way, but damn, it realy helps me. even in songs that has a rediculous meaning, i stil see so much more. so sad hes gone, i would have wanted to listen for so mutch longer to hes statements, meanings and all.
Seems like some of the song meanings are pretty religious or derived from some moral code or concept. A lot of religions speak about not worrying and being detached from the cares of life (disengage) and some teach how humanity is its own greatest threat (genocide) and we all know life is short so whatever feels hard in you now is just a speck in the hourglass of time (no time to bleed). Lifted has a great message to anyone who has drug problemz ..get lifted and rise above that. And to some degree he's right, ppl are stuck in their own way religious beliefs or not and no matter what you say or do they won't change, so let em be (suffer) Even though he didn't believe in God or region, he still ended up writing some pretty religious/philosophical/deep songs... except for the "get high and wasted" songs lol.
Religious people shouldnt change and they get mad respect for that. They stick to something that they hold dear to their hearts, stand on their convictions, etc. There are those out there that go from one thing to another and have no fulfillment or meaning in their lives and for some, religion delivers that to them and they deserve respect because they hold true to their beliefs. No matter how much some may hate them for that, laugh at them for that, etc, they still stand on their convictions and in life, isnt that what is the most important - standing up for what you believe in and standing on your convictions?
well he's talking about now in this generation, most people are addicted to technology, such as teens some adults etc. back then year phones and technology weren't there so people found better things to do to keep going, but now is hell haha XD
