Addiction pushes people away...the victim loses normal though processes...it is virtually impossible to help an addict unless they have an epiphany or you lock them in a room for half a year (and there are laws preventing that). On a positive note, you have a great voice, Mitch and I sure Amy supported you 100%, I am from a musical family and we support the arts. My condolences to you and your family. Amy was the most special, talented girl of the 21st century. Her legacy will live on.
I have heard Mitch seven times since 2013, and sang or him at a charity dinner. He is one of the finest swing jazz singers that I have heard. I ignore the ignorant trolls. They have no idea of his talent and what he did for Amy. He is a lovely guy and deserves a lot of respect for the wonderful work that he does for the Amy Winehouse Foundation that he and his family set up when Amy passed away.
Hey, Amy did not die in vain! Rather, she gave up her life so that Dad could be introduced to the world and be discovered! He is absolutely amazing as was she!
i can see why amy became a singer ,i would have loved to have a dad who sang and sings good around the house ! i would never blame her parents for what happened to amy or her friends or her band or her exhusband because if thats true well we will all be looking in the mirror who are parents !all we can do is raise them up send them out in the world ...
Mitch and Amy went through about fifty songs together as she wanted him to make an album. She knew he was talented. She helped to produce his first album, if which this is the first track. That was in 2010.
What I don't understand is Kelly Osbourne getting hate mail. People telling her SHE didn't 'try enough'. What??? Kelly got Amy into rehab back in 2008. She is NOT 'her sister's keeper'. Neither were Amy's parents. They all did what they could. She was a legal adult and didn't want any help. Her parents were not 'surprised' Amy had died. It's too bad we, AGAIN, have lost a great talent. But this will keep happening until people realize drugs (and too much drink) are killers.
Please be kind was first used in 1938 by Gracie Fields in Keep Smiling, there is a version on here by joe loss. The song is very old before Old blue eyes lol lol.
@kimmydoll63 the whole world is sorry and sad about amy's death, but I had this discussion with my girlfriend: you can't help someone if he doesn't take the helping hand(s).
@mr waster whoops~~wansty.pitch. timing.phrasing.are essentials in a good singer and mitch winehouse has all three.please let me know when that great saloon bar singer tony bennet appears in a pub near you.i will buy you a beer.l.o.l.keep swinging through the tears mitch youre doing a great job.
I was mad and tired, sorry. It just made me feel really wired to watch her dad sing in Paris, trying to develop his career while his daughter was slowly dying.I know that one has to forget a (big) part of its own life if one wants to really help someone...or close one eye or the both and think one shan't ruin two lives for the price of one. I’ve personally seen it when i was a child and i’m ready to keep my eyes wide open if it was going to happen to one of my belong’s. Nobody knows the future.
