DNA Replication : • DNA Replication Made Easy
before the cell starts with the mitosis it has already undergone the interphase, where it has grown and duplicated its dna, basically all set for dividing.
The whole process of mitosis is divided into 4 simple stages
Prophase Metaphase Anaphase & Telophase.
And the basic concept of each of them is
Condensation, Arrangement, Splitting and Nuclear membrane formation.
we will talk about one important structure inside the cell that is essential for proper splitting of the nucleus --- The Mitotic spindle.
This structure is known as a spindle because of its shape.
The mitotic spindle consists of centrosomes and the microtubules ,the rope like structure which project from them.
The word centrosome is often confused with the word centromere. THIS is centromere. The bead like structure that you see in the centre of a chromosome, which is different from centrosome which is this structure here which helps in dividing the contents of the nucleus into two.
