Good work and congratulations on the new enterprise. If you want a product to keep you out of trouble, this is it. An absolute essential item in my mind, I personally have seen many damaged radiators and turbos..... even in the sand. Thought your followers might like to know some weights. I have 3 plates in steel they weigh 28kg in 3mm so good saving there using stainless. I generally only keep the front 2 on at 13-14 kg combined. If a rough trip is on, Fraser for instance I put the 3rd plate on.(That 3rd plate is huge by the way) Rare but I have had a branch come up around the transmission area causing some issue, prior to fitting the 3rd plate. You can roll over a branch and the tyre makes it stickup under the car, then catching underneath. No matter how careful you try to be, and I am, incidents occur, so a trip to Fraser for instance for some can be the best of times or the worst of times. Wear your amour.
SWB has better break over angle, so maybe it's not a issue for you. But having LWB i decided to invest in bash plates mostly because of the transmission part. Mine was bending every time that i ended up on pajero belly -it's extremely fragile.
What are you studying at uni? I already have an aluminium engine plates from another supplier but would be interested in the transmission plate for my NW. Do you know whether it will fit with other brands?
