Today we take a walk around my own 1988 Mitsubishi J23. This is an ex-military Jeep, built in Japan for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. It's based on the Willys CJ3B. What's it like to use one as a daily driver? How hard is it to look after? What are the pros and cons of operating a vehicle like this vs. some regular SUV?

good day sir, what was the price of the jeep when you bought it? it looks like the jeep was newly registered based on the plate number, thanks in advance for a reply 😁

As far as I know, the Jeep had been in Philippines about 6 years when I bought it. I know it was restored after arrival here, but I don’t know how long that took. I need to check the OR for first registration date.

Hiya. Note that many, many parts are common with other Fuso and Mitsubishi models, especially Canter and Pajero. For stuff that is unique to the Jeep, look at Megazip, Yokohama and Amayama. There are links to those on the video on daily-driving the Jeep. There are a couple of FB groups on these Jeeps, which can be very useful resources. Happy Jeeping!
