I did the spacer lift. 40mm it took more than just the spacers. Required new adjustable camber arms and track rod arms, along with complete bushing+trailing arm Bush replacement +b15mm shorter droplinks. because the change in position wore them all out quicker. Worth it though for me, looks and handles awesome. I used stiffer springs. Kyb6227 I think is thale part number

Hi I'm just about to fit some 30mm lift blocks, well I've bought them and now wondering if it's the right thing to do. Where did you source the Camber and track arms, if you don't mind sharing. I've also bought extra heavy duty Lesjofors springs for the rear and the Auto box ones for the front, might just fit those first.

@@ianyork1234 40mm is the max you can go. I also used heavy duty rear springs and it was very difficult to get them installed on the rear with the lift. The camber arms I got from ebay. Same ones fit a lancer 07>. I'd say go with the springs and bigger tyres before doing the lift. I reckon it's enough and gives good aesthetics

@@Mcevoy91 Thanks for the tip, I'm running 235/75/16 G015's which I've been very impressed with, but need a bit more space in muddy conditions. Think i'll stick with the springs for now.

Replace my rear one at the weekend. friend has the spring compressor tools. but cant use them as limited room. we did similar to what you did using the jack. place a few bricks under it as height increased incase something slipped! the motor dealers gave me the wrong spring even though they put my reg through the system. luckily they another had one in stock.!

Wish mine was that rust free 😆. I doubt I'll get the BTS off mine so I'll be removing the shock from the top and a new bolt for near the hub.

Hey Jay, Would you happen to know if the ZG Mitsubishi Outlander shares same suspension setup for thr ZL Mitsubishi Outlander. Looking at improving height and strength for towing a camper trailer.
@DoubtingThomas333
@DoubtingThomas333 Месяц назад
just use 40mm lift kit and swap over to 215/70R16 wheels and tyres. if your shocks are over 150k old, replace them too. If you're towing a camper trailer... put in some double offset lower control arm/trailing arm (rear) bushings to get a nice 1.0+ degree of extra caster. It'll make the vehicle much safer at speed, especially when towing.

Great video. I've got a 2009 Outlander myself and was tossing between a lift kit and the springs. Would you have any thoughts on the matter? And btw how's the ride now with those Dobinsons?
@jayfix6126
@jayfix6126 Год назад
Hey I would go for the springs, less chance of things going wrong if you can get a set of springs that high as for the ride after the springs were done, the ride is nice, it handles a lot better and doesn't bottom out as it used to.

@@jayfix6126do you need to change the shock absorbers too or any other thing? I am look to do this + slightly bigger tyres 235/60r18 instead of the original 225/55/r18. Also any issues with the CV joints due to the increased height? And finally, any issues with the camber angle? Thanks mate, great video
