This is an introduction video of Miwa Seigado, the oldest Hagiyaki specialty store in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Under the fourth generation, Mr. Shochi, the store has been renovated as a tea bowl specialty store, just like the first generation.
You can enjoy matcha served in a bowl made by Living National Treasure, Miwa Kyusetsu (Juyuki).
You can also view the calligraphy and painting scrolls by Shinsaku Takasugi, which have been passed down from generation to generation, for free.
Through independent research by the fourth generation owner, Mr. Shochi, a Hagi tea bowl created by the Edo period artist Koetsu Hon'ami was discovered among the tea bowls in his collection, and a special viewing event was also held.
