I am in love with that opening song. Listening to There Will Be Singing on its own, it's clear that it's a great track and it works great as an opening track, but the way it smoothly flows into Technicolour and leads in this whole mix is just *chefs kiss*
Much appreciated thank you:) I currently use PowerDirector which gives me endless ways to play! Interesting or atmospheric footage is obviously important - try archive.org for rough old clips/ads/PIFs, or Pixabay/Videvo for pristine new HD scenes which can be 'dirtied' up in program. Essentially I let the music create pictures & places in my head 😵 and then try to translate that to the screen in content, colour, and texture. Sounds a bit wanky...and probably is😉
@@TheDaddyO44 damn dude. I'm impressed that you're doing this all in an editing suite. I'd assumed it was all live triggered clips with something like vdmx. You've obviously got a vision and patience!
I don't think the video art stuff could possibly fit the music any better. Great mix and video, really enjoying your channel and compilations. Great for studying and focusing to. Thanks dude!
@@TheDaddyO44 When I heard the transitions I thought you're either a god level DJ, or you are using the magic of computers - or both! Good stuff mate :D
Lol "god level DJ"... Yeah no way I could do all this live! Plus I'm far more interested in the finished item than the process. Thanks man, I appreciate your appreciation 😃🎧👍
I have used it in the past, but now I use custom software (developed by a friend of mine), plus Samplitude Pro X for mastering/finessing. The process has a lot in common with composing and producing music. I actually made my first 4 or 5 mixes for YT on a cheap vinyl-conversion software!
Thanks so much juanker 52 😁 And yeah it's pretty niche I know - like that little room at the back of the club with stella sounds and a small but discerning crowd 😉(hopefully!)
Cheers Tanguy. The two films I sampled for this video (credited in the description) were found on archive.org - a terrific resource. The rest is editing :)
Thanks Willem! I kind of collect strange and interesting old footage (there's lots on archive.org). Then it's editing and processing until I feel it compliments the music. The two films I used for this one are credited in the description
@@TheDaddyO44 you man put out some banger videos, I listen to this stuff while I work and when I have a break I watch the bizzare video clips you use. I'm almost certain you'll see comments from me on every similar video
