I am not Dominican, but I am from the Caribbean too so, is the same, on my island we still dance to those rhythms that are original from Africa, and if in fact they sing to the saints, eleggua, ogun, yemaya, obatala, and all the others, in reality that music is a type of ceremonies where the saints come down to guide us and give us messages and asking protection to San Miguel Archangel, I am glad that you have embraced our culture!!!💯👍

Yes that’s right. The first song is about a man asking the saints to help him with a woman and asking for good blessings for him and everybody around him. And to keep bad things away from him. The rest have similar topics, all the lyrics are positive.
