Damn dude, I’m a full time mix engineer and I have never seek anyone mix vocals like this, I think I would make some adjustments based on the instruments supporting the vocal but I think this is a great way to get in the ballpark and definitely going to give it a shot. Great video
Fantastic turtorial Big Z! And thank you so much for the vocal reference tracks. I was actually looking for something like this the other day without much success. And then you just pop up and hands me just what I needed for free. Amazing!
Brother! On behalf of the community here, thank you for everything!! Love your channel, your preset packs, drum packs, and now even these freebies! God bless!
I admit that this is my favorite RU-vid tutorial ever , I have an extremely bright , harsh vocal track , and this is the only method that worked with me , thank you so so much.
Downloaded and had a quick listen to Vocal References. Amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And the video certainly took this old man to school. Appreciate your sharing and caring.
In my opinion Big Z is the only logic producer here on RU-vid who really reaches that top notch quality sound that you hear on the radio. I already learned so much here. Thanks for everything and keep making these amazing tutorials!
Cool! Thanks! I like your version of "DuaLipa's" vocals - more than original) and chain is so simple! no fancy mikes and analog gear. But it sounds really like TopChart artists. Thanks for sharing this tip and for the gift)
In every video I’ve seen about mixing vocals always use the same generic/basic technics and I don’t even know why I opened this video cause I’m always expecting the same, but fucking sorprise, the way u equalize comparing each band of frequencies was something I’ve never seen ans it’s so smart do it like that, also you have an awesome ear cause you let the track sounding the same as the Lipa’s. New suscriber from Mexico 📀
Predelay, bigtime and the lead vox have way less low end than the reverb & delay so I'm betting on pre fx sends on reverbs & delays. Either that or they put the low end back. Nothing gets in the way of those great vox. Thanks again!!!
Good tutorial my guy! Thank you. I'm always searching for better or interesting techniques to take my mixes next level. I'll add some of your points to the arsenal.
I had to take a minut to leave you this comment. From watching your videos there is no way man cant see how good soul you have buddy !! If i was a girl or gay, probably ill get attracted to that kind of person !haha Anyway bro keep being this buddy ! And thanks for sharing your knowledge ! love ya
Why 7:52 needed? Why need to create a bus with no output at last set to 0db ? The other buses before i get it, it does the job about reverb + delay and sidechaining, but why is that last no output 0db pre fader bus ? Thanks a lot! Learned a lot!
Hey Big Z, great video! Would like to see the exact same vocal with the inverse eq effect but reverse the inverse to see the difference of the vocal eqs!
