I think she came out great!! I like that you added the gesso to the rust as it was a bit much with those same colors in the image itself, but you blended it in beautifully. This is one of most favorite books by Marta and I have been busy fussy cutting getting ready to make a few projects myself. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing piece and your process. I really love how it turned out!
I agree. It was too much. I didn’t realise how stark the paint would be. I’m glad I could rescue it because I was considering gluing it shut haha. Thanks for watching and commenting
Absolutely stunning AJ page. Love your choice of image but the crackle paste made it. The gesso to mute the faux rust was the right choice, definitely. Knocked it to the background perfectly. Looking forward to seeing more of your creativity. C xx
I used to do a lot of steampunk images, not so much this past year…feeling like that phase was behind me. However, after watching your process using this precious little girl I think I’ll have to revisit. What an inspiration to keep on going with a page that you nearly gave up on. It was lovely to watch you create using Maremi Small Art Collage Books I have purchased them all and I use them everyday for my art, but it was interesting watching you use the different textures and pastes, I have bought most of the tim holtz range but have not been game to use them yet. I tend to fussy cut the elements myself but not all the time, Just learning how to blend things together, I have been doing art journals for awhile now always lovely to see a different take on a picture. I have not be game to use any of the big girls in the persona Collage book yet. But I love your Project xx

I have all but one of the animal books.This book is just super cute and I am having fun with all my projects using all the books. I can't say I have a favourite book because I love them all but l think I am going to order another one of the fairies book and this book too.They really are just adorable. ❤
I have 5 of Marta’s books but I don’t really like steam punk so I didn’t have this one. You have convinced me I need this book, too, this is lovely.❤and yes, I really struggle with my washi tape!

I like it so much more after you put the gesso on top of the rust. I'm not a huge steam punk fan but she comes together nicely. I'm pleased you pushed through it. I'm learning so much from your videos thank you.
Currently testing out options for the camera. I just need to get the sensitivity right. I think my newest video is better but is definitely slower to focus
