In this video I show you the proper way to prepare the surface, mix and apply auto body filler (Bondo) to wood. This is the same process I used for over twenty years in my family's body shop. My job back in the early 50's was cleaning the shop after school and I remember clearly the day our jobber introduced us to our first gallon of plastic. The older guys in the shop didn't want to be the Ginny pigs so they made me try it first. Bear in mind that we were still using a pick and file plus lead as the filler. For those of you old enough to remember, to a golf ball size glob of plastic, you would add about five or six drops of hardener (benzoyl peroxide).
