Cockatiels are surprisingly great with all of the species in the video despite their size they're really social and get along with pretty much everything
@@birbiiee mine aren't the greatest at times but luckily my budgies out number then and usually put them in there place I guess it all depends which you have first
I have a grey Cockatiel and a lovebird together in a large cage and they have bonded to each other. At night I watch them groom each other head feathers!!
Really we are getting a great relaxing power watching the video. I must applaud the hard work that went into the land, cleaning, building the aviary, buying birds, feeding them, medicals, cleaning those lovely bird nests. Your work has paved the way to your success. Please post more videos. It brings tears to me that I can never experience such beauty and calmness. At least you bring us those hopes and visions. Infinite salutes and wishes to you and your hard work. 💎👏🏆💐🐦🕊🐦🕊🐦🕊🐦 love from 🇮🇳
I pretty much had most finches in one aviary. My favorites were Cubans, as they were very friendly and active. there was a few i didn't have, but cant remember their names now. I really liked Parson Finches (love hearts) and Double Bars, the Double Bars make a beautiful noise. Jacarini's was a good one too, mainly because of the males mating dance, where he would do somersaults. I really like Zebra finches, but had to get rid of them, because they bred like flies, and were disturbing the other finches nests. I have been toying with fixing the old Aviaries up and getting into finches again, I miss their lovely sounds. Nice aviary and birds. Thanks.
I haven't even heard of some of the finches you mentioned and I understand fully about the zebras....I started with 2 female and a male and ended up with 24! Great parents tho', and others helped a lot of feeding the little ones once they fledged. I would love to see the Jacarini somersault mating dance!
Better to keep budgies and parakeets separate from other birds in colony breeding. Plus it's a better idea to use one eighth inch wire mesh so that rodents can not enter the enclosure.
We need to learn by our animals. So precious and very awesome! I feed the birds and even the squirrels! Funny how my cats and pups think they’re their friends! Thank you for a very positive and taking such incredible care of all those beautiful feathered lovelies our world gives us💖🌏
I love ❤️ AUSTRALIAN DIAMOND DOVE Birds they are friendly on 1 st day, they don’t bite, they dance exceptionally beautiful. N sings very nice too.when they open their wings can see all little stars ⭐️ on it look like a Diamonds
Bourkes are the best!!! I have 2 Rubinos. They aren't in an aviary, though... I live in an apartment. When they are hand-raised they can be the most lovely pets. My male is super sweet - steps up, flies to me, sits on my shoulder and head, walks all over me, nibbles on me constantly... :) My female is a bit more standoffish. She will step up sometimes but she still loves to be close to me even if she isn't in the mood. Beautiful, sweet, curious birds with an independent streak, which is great because it gives them a chance to enjoy being birds without their human getting in the way too much!
How beautiful your Avery is do you live in Florida I want to start one up shortly so you gave me some great ideas it's nice to all the birds can mix together thank you for your video it's lovely
beautiful birds. i love all of them... pls show ur hens also.. share your experience of keeping these birds in breeding, feeding and other information abt these birds.
It’s very amazing how you guys set it up this whole great cage , very relaxing and lovely but I really gotta mention you couple of things , first leaving any food near water can seriously create a huge illness to your birds easily , when their food get wet then very soon bad bacteria start growing and right away when your bird eat the seed they gonna have those bacteria in their stomach and it can seriously be dangerous and most of time it can kill them , Second any type of vegetable never ever can not be spot for a long time specially over night ! And it must be removed from the cage cus the same thing can happen to it as I said earlier, Third leaving parakeets and canary’s and finches is not a good idea in small spaces cus parakeets can easily bite canary’s and finches with their beak specially they can cut the other birds fingers .
Well, with the cleanliness of this aviary I highly doubt he leaves raw food out very long at all....if it's not already eaten by all these birds in due time. Wet seed .... many finch/bird owners soak some seeds and the birds love them. Again, I doubt any wet seed is there for long. And 3rd, this is hardly a small space. The notes say it IS possible to keep these breeds together IF area is large enough, has good coverage and hiding spots, and ample nesting areas ...ALL OF WHICH THIS AVIARY HAS. He also said that Canaries do prefer their own cages.
Beautiful setting and cute families☺💕 But need to keep feeding place dry which may cause infection to cute ones means water to be kept bit away from feed👍
For those wondering whether or not to keep budgies with pigeons or doves, it should be alright. I have a large aviary with a couple of domestic pigeons, a few senegal doves and lots of budgies and there is no conflict between them. The only issue I have is the young wilder budgies sometimes ride the pigeons and doves around which gives us a laugh but nobody is hurt in the end lol
Beautiful aviary with a heck of a lot of birds! Beautiful to watch. Can you tell me please can finches breed together from the same clutch (ie. brothers with sisters). It seems in a large colony it would be extremely difficult to prevent so I'm thinking maybe they do breed together ?! Thanks in advance for your answer!
Nice birds, a few surprises there, so the Gouldians breed ok without interference from the Zebra's? Also I would have thought those half open fronted nest boxes wouldn't be private enough for Gouldians. And I noticed you have the regular varieties of Gouldians mixed with colour mutated ones, would love to know what colours you are getting from the young there. Where are you from? I'm in Australia.
Hello. We do have the proper gouldian boxes too we just like to give them a choice. If the aviary is big enough they should settle. We are in the south of uk.
Beautiful. What about keeping chicken on the ground. I plan to try. My aviary is going to have 0.75 inch net, will that be able to hold finches, being too small?
Annette Alktami They can be if you bond them together correctly but I wouldn’t because they can harm each other. They can live in different cages but play together outside the cage when supervises might be a better option. Good luck 🙂
