You can mix two flash brands & still get wireless TTL. If it has ATG TTL circuity for Canon or Nikon camera. 1st sample using Canon camera & you have Canon 580EX II/600EX-RT/600EX II-RT on camera: * Set on camera flash into Master wireless IR ETTL II * Set ATG/Yongnuo 600EX-RT II (Canon version) into Slave IR (C) ETTL II * Now you can control both flashes wireless IR 2nd example your wife or partner is using Nikon camera with Nikon SB-800/SB-900/SB-910 on camera: * Set on camera flash into Master wireless IR ITTL * Set ATG/Yongnuo 600EX-RT II (Canon version into Slave IR (N) ITTL * Now your ATG/Yongnuo 600EX-RT II, which is made for Canon perform like another nice Slave 800/900/910 Then ATG circuity in Yongnuo has wireless IR S1 and wireless IR S2 modes If anyone is still lost, please leave your email address here or contact Alzo Digital, CT And ask the best repair/mod/service center from ATG..if you want to be a better photographer.
You CAN NOT get TTL (Metz) or ATG Auto2 (better than using TTL) with this setup. But if you, alex, has Metz 64AF-1, then you can shoot ATG Auto2 & TTL. This is because many advanced speedlites have ATG Auto2, which many today photographers are lost.
Hi =D How are you doing? I got a question for you! I have a metz 52 af-1 digital and I use with canon cameras, now I want to by a radio flash to combine with the flash and I´m not sure each one is the best. Would you recomed any radio please? I´m in Brazil so some brands are not so easy to find. Thanks =D
What model is your Canon camera? Many digital ATG/Metz flashes are not fully compatible with dslrs/mirrorless. ATG's that may work: 1. Pixel King Pro Set for Canon 2. Nissin Air 1 or Air 10 set for Canon 3. Youngnuo YN-622C set 4. Godox transmitter with Godox X1R-C ATG & I suggest if on a budget, buy two ATG's ATG/Godox TT350C It has ATG's built-in TTL 2.4GHz transceiver. Gets & control wirelessly in Group A & B. Reply your email if you need assistance
I have a Canon 5D4, Godox Pro trigger, a Metz M400 and a Metz 64A-1. the M400 doesn't work at all, and with the 64AF some functions work, some don't. Works: TTL, manual, zoom but only up to 105mm, 2nd curtain. Does NOT work: Hi sync. Therefore a abandoned Metz and only use Godox equipment.
I'm using a Godox X2T(N) on my Nikon to control a Godox TT-600 (no problem) and a Metz 52 AF-1 (for Nikon). Putting the Metz in Servo mode works fine - but it is in Manual Mode and I have to preset the flash power, etc. I have tried using the X1R(N) to control the Metz, but it only works when the Metz is in TTL Mode. I want to use the X1R to control the settings on the Metz from the X2T. Alex mentioned that this is the 3rd option, but did not go into any details on how to set up the Metz to be controlled by the X1R. Help!
Hello, I am studying this subject. I currently have a Metz 64 AF1 flash and the Metz WT-1 transmitter and receiver kit. I bought a new Metz M360 flash that was supposed to work with the Metz WT-1 receiver and I can't get it to fire. The first objective in this moment would be to have my Nikon D3400 camera with the WT-1 transmitter and the 64 AF1 flash mounted on the camera shoe and the M360 flash remote on the WT-1 receiver. Can you help me how can I get the remote flash to work? I would like to use TTL mode. Paulo.
Metz doesn't really make the transmitter set. It's ATG/Pixel. Try using the ATG's ATG or Pixel King Pro in Canon. Yours & this have ATG's built-in TTL/M 2.4GHz transceiver. TTL wireless is 55% while M is more stable.
Controlling a flash placed on top of an X1T is called TTL pass-thru. As far as I know, only the -c (Canon) and -n (Nikon) versions of the X1T have this capability. If you use a different version of the X1T, the flash on top can only be used in Manual mode.
