Mixing oxalic acid in 1:1 syrup. This creates medicated syrup for treating varroa mites with the dribble method. 600ml of water is close enough to 2 1/2 cups. 600 grams of sugar is close to 2 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons.
Susie Q, oxalic acid is not approved for use with honey supers on. It is also most effective when there is no brood present. We like formic acid (Mite Away Quick Strips, or Formic Pro) for cooler temperatures with honey supers present.
