Can’t say it enough y’all don’t get enough credit!!! I miss back in the days how the cassettes and cd’s pamphlet use to have everybody’s name readily available to see who did who an contribute!
I love his mixes they are so balanced and the 808's are just tight and the vocals are just right. I try to mimic what I hear as far as balancing and blending, but I also like to experiment with noise... it is something we hear all the time in music but don't realize it.
In these interviews Leslie keeps mentioning how much he loves the UAD Fairchild 670 "Legacy" version. I hope that one day someone will ask him what exactly he prefers about it over the newer version, given the fact that he specifically keeps mentioning the "Legacy" version.
@@sgdsgf5089 Yeah. But it also might be that he just doesn't have enough DSP power if he only has that 4 DSP Apollo unit. I got 14 DSPs and surely couldn't make it with 4 DSPs , especially as I run stuff like Capitol Chambers, 480L and AMS DMX 15-80 S among others.
@@DeeKeiMixes When did you talk about it to Leslie? Of course I know the sound differences - did he tell you that to his ears the legacy version wins every single time? I'm surprised that this is the reason.
@@2point7182818284590 he’s one of my mentors. Ive spoken with him in person directly about it. No other reason. Maybe a touch of “that’s what I’ve always used so no need to try the new one”.
I’ve been listening on apple podcasts for a few months & I’ve always pictured the faces of andrew huang & the stoner kid w/ long hair from stranger things 😂
