Those of you who keep pointing out that there is no laptop or serato...NO SHIT! This was recorded back in 2002, before serato was released. The video was uploaded in 2007. This video is proof that serato doesnt make the Dj. Serato will not make a bad Dj become a good Dj, but it will make a good Dj become an even better Dj. Just look at his more recent posted shows...serato made it possible for him to take his great skills to a new level. Serato takes away limits and opens up endless creativity

Just to say that the track at 3:00 is a battle record called Megaman scratch station 8. That badass beat is on track 7. Sadly this record is extremely hard to find. Very rare.

There are lots of DJs like Qbert and DStyles that are super clean and precise with scratching but I've always loved Mike's style. He's less about the pure technicality and is just full of creative funk. Turntablism at it's finest.
This was filmed before Serato became the standard Dj program. He now uses a laptop with serato on all of his performances. His performances are much more creative now that he is not limited to strictly vinyl. He still keeps true to the art form by using turntables, but times change buddy... He adapted and didnt stay behind.
