I don’t really blame y’all. In my opinion they should have emphasized more on the fact that Ishigami has absolutely no idea what giving a heart means during the festival. As a manga reader it was crystal clear because I could take my time to process what was going on panel by panel but in this episode it’s almost quite literally a throwaway line by the narrator that could be easily missed during the tension that everyone including the audience is feeling during that scene. On top of the fact that that shot of Ishigami saying “this is how I feel about you” right before the big “Public Love Confession” text appears is not established as an dramatization/ interpretation by the students of what’s happening, not what’s actually happening.

@@AwsOm3Fac3 i thought it was pretty clear, at least in the Spanish subs I read. It may have been a problem with the English subs not being clear enough, but even then I don't think it was hard to figure out with what the narrator said and Ishigami's face that makes him look very oblivious. In fact Sheera caught that too, but she confused herself because they were both talking while that scene was going on and it was harder to process what happened (which is no one's fault ofc, this is a reaction so it's natural they'd talk).

but I think the end result is known, feeling a bit sad for Chadgami... he's going to find happiness for sure...and Moeha🛐

It was clearer in the manga with the extra narration they had in it that the anime trimmed down.

I was kinda thinking that he caught on half-way and was like "ah shit well I got the flow better ride it"

honestly they should have cut down the first skit because the Ishigami one really deserved to be longer, especially since a lot of people have had trouble catching whats actually going on

I think it is not just that he is a 1st year, but also he himself was not really into love and relationships until very recently so he tuned out such things

@@noahtan Agree, he was completely closed to all of that, but also being a 2nd year would mean you already had one Festival before, and would probably know about it

yeah but ishigami was a 1st year when kaguya and shirogane were 1st years he got held back last year if i remember correctly but otherwise he'd be in the same grade as them not only that but kaguya didn't know about the heart stuff either until tsubame told her a couple episodes ago

Ishigami doesn't know because he doesn't have any friend

@@madmoxxi7397 Ishigami is younger, he never get held back. He still studied and do homework and properly graduate. He just not allowed to come to school. When Shirogane 1st year, Ishigami still middle schooler

In her first appearance in season 2 she said she wanted to see Kei get “defiled” and lock her up in an underground cage to torment her for the rest of her life. Compared to that, this was tame

@@rjai5003 And to top it off Mohea reassured Kaguya that Kaguya was #1 on the list of people she'd like to defile. Wanting to tease Kei for sleeping with Miyuki borders on "cute, harmless fun" when compared to Mohea's introduction.

@@kyroking9934 Christmas arc is the arc that follows up (almost) immediately after the culture festival and it’s about, dare I say, 80% of the fanbase‘s favorite arc

@@kyroking9934 Ah yes... the Christmas arc. That's gonna be a wild rollercoaster of emotion. Also, it was announced that the Kaguya-sama movie will be coming out in December, so chances are, the Christmas arc will be animated in that.

That would be quite the effort in detail to actually do binaural audio for that in the anime. Especially considering most people are gonna watch on their phones or TVs, if it's true that's awesome.
