Hiro is not half Swiss. He's 100% Japanese. His family just lived in Switzerland for 6 years and he attended an International School. That's why his English is so good.

He actually went to an international school where he learned to speak fluent English and there are many other videos that show him speaking English. Not only is he fluent, he has amazing pronunciation. Figures that he went to an international school

even so he lived in switzerland for six years, he is still amazing to made it that far to speak so fluent in english. that's really commendable especially for a japanese guy.

the film they were doing is for Hiro's show, Kamen Rider Kabuto. It's sort of a prequel to the show. The movie is called Kamen Rider Kabuto, god speed love. the series is pretty much over since it aired in 2006
Maybe because Hiro's looks aren't exactly Japanese looking so they have to find someone who matches him. Hiro is so cute! His pitch goes up when speaking English.
I always see, if KR Kabuto ever gets adapted to US, Hiro can be cast as the main actor. Esp now that in the US they are pushing for asians or asian descent to be on screen. He can deliver lines in english.

It would be a shame if he left acting. Hopefully this is just a rumor. He's such a good actor, he steals the scenes every time. He should try the US, we need more diverse, good actors here.
Holy shit, perfect English pronunciation? From MY Japanese hearthrob? Mizushima is so deliciously hot that it makes me want to cry, and this just makes it worse. Now I'm wondering if he spent a significant amount of time in America or something. His accent is AMAZING.
@miszlovable Thanks for posting this and explaining. That makes sense. Are both his parents Japanese? He really looks a mix, a very good mix, I should say. The fact that he had accent on his Japanese after returning home, but retained his English with no accent, is amazing. He must still use his English on a regular basis.
