So true. I remember when kobe entered as a 17 year old he was only 2 years older than myself at the time. I recall that shocking me thinking wow I'm only interested 10th grade & this kid is in the NBA going up against the all time greats & he's only 2 years old than me. I started seriously watching bball in 93 so all these still young guys were born in the mid to late 60s so it was very strange to see a guy born in 1978 in the NBA while I'm born in 81 & he's playing w/ men & living a grown man's life going on the road. Mj was like a ball God so he grew up watching the guys he idolized b/c he came in the league so young. It's akin to an only 21 year old doc Gooden going up against hero Nolan Ryan in the n.l .
