I have Tipo with 1.6 JTD Euro 6b - Engine works well, starts great, but the hotter environment is the more second injector correction goes from +2 to +5. My friend from Bosch told me that, there is no high pressure sensor on high pressure rail, therefore all corrections are not "true" and should not be taken too seriously. It was Fiat cost reduction. I remember that last time I saw this sensor was on 1.3 JTD Euro 4 engine - High pressure rail here has two sensors.

I never seen a system with no pressure sensor. And the ones that have two, one is not a sensor, but an actuator

My Jeep renegade 2.0 mjet2 2nd injector have correction of almost 5! And injector 4 also almost -5! Car starts perfectly even at minus 15c.

Hello. You can switch up the position to see if the issue follows the injector or not.

@@alfaromeonoproblem Many people says than you have to check corrections at warm motor. But in my opinion is better to do like you at cold cause all the problems are amplified and is easy to localise the faulty injector. On my side now for be sure of the state of injectors sometime i prefer to take it out and go to Bosch point for test them. I live in france and here it cost aroud 20€ per injector. Probably in portugal the price will be beter. You have to sepend some money for do this but you are sure of the real state of injectors and in all case is beter than replace rondomely the injectors :)

Yes, I agree. The idea is really that, not to replace anything if not necessary. About testing is more expensive. But the problem too is lack of professionalism even on Bosch workshops. They always say new injetors. And than the problem is elsewhere!

Hi! I bought a 1.9JTDm 8v 2006 159. How relaible are those injecotrs on this car? I'll definietly get them ultrasoniced, and checked. What should I expect? currently it has 260k KMs. Easy to start cold and hot.

Thanks for an informative video! I have a question regarding a 2.2 JTDM from Giulia: If the car starts and the engine works and sounds very well, there are no error codes but the first and second injectors have a correction of +3, and third and fourth have 0 - do you think there might be any other issues? Looking into buying this example and just worrying about it a bit.

In your case, is it's. Only the first second I would not worry. Normally is just the crud of the egr on the valve seats.

I also have alfa 159 2.0 and corrections are fine but very hard start. So corrections do not impact starting.

Hello. It was just an experiment, some models we had to apply some rubber "bumpers" on those tubes to avoid certain vibrations. To avoid fissures on it

Thank you for your great video. Where to find the maximum and minimum value for the Injector Correction of each injector please? For my jtd 156 1.9 140Horsepower (2005) , I have the following values: 1: -0.80mm3/i, 2: 0.77mm3/i, 3: 0.33mm3/i, 4: -0.28mm3/i. Is it ok or 1 and 2 are not good anymore? Hello. Like I said on the video the ideal is zero all around. The best next thing is around 0,25 and no more than 0,50. And above 2,50 is really a red flag. Before replacing anything switch them arround, recode and check is the correction values are following. If so is confirmation not the injectors. If not, is the engine! Yours is not terrible tough

Is 0.50 a standard value for all vehicules? Or only for this vehicule? How do you find it? I dont see it on the documentation! Keep going, your videos are very useful!

Black smoke is a indication of not enough air or too much diesel. Hello. It was a experience. The original ones have rubber on to disperse vibrations, I did that to see if I noticed anything. Did not, but just leave them there. Lol. The original ones work.

4 years ago the cam belt fail. And i took the injectors out but i dont think i put them în the order that came out. I drove the car 4 years and still runs . Is that a problem? It worked without programing

Hello. Not a problem, just got idle is louder and could be irregular. You can reprogram them in the new place or check the coding and switch them around to match the coding. About the timing belt snap, make sure both cames are in sync

Beautifully explained! Is it possible that wrong injector coding causes the injector to do the "hammering" or loud knocking sound when the turbo kicks in? I tried several remanufactured injectors on my 1.3 mjt (without coding), but 2 out of 5 i bought were knocking like crazy.

Hello. Thank you very much for watching. Coding works it best at starting and idle. Once you start to accelerate the coding doesn't make anything. Can you switch them around and see if the correction follows or stays on that one cylinder?

@@alfaromeonoproblem i'm waiting for my obd cables to arrive so i can buy multiecuscan to check parameters and code the injectors. So I don't know yet. Anyway, i bouht 4 remanufactured injectors and experienced good fuel economy with them, but loud clicking on stronger throttle at about 1300-1700 rpm. Went one by one and found the responsible one. I put my old injector instead of it, and clicking went away. Thought it was bad luck, i bought another one, and same story repeated. I tried putting it in another cylinder, and the clicking was still present. Interesting thing is, clicking begins once my car heats up, when the coolant temp starts to rise. The seller swears that injectors are 10000% faultless.

Hi I also have a question I'm a little stuck at Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JDTm. which side do you count on? from left to right as you face the engine. for example: is it counted from the distribution to the steering wheel or vice versa? I want to know which is the injector 4 and the car has 5 I have a big slip

Hello. The first one is the timming belt side. All makes and models except the French cars..

You can also confirm with the injector codes. Check the coding on the diagnosis machine and on the car.

Hello. Yes, most of the times it is. But just to be sure, block off the egr to make sure that's not the issue

When I rebuild one of my injectors there will not be a code for this injector. does the engine only need this code for the first start and will the motor CPU correct it bysele? I think a rebuilded one has never a code.

The ECU eventually will make the idle more stable. But without the injector code it will never be perfect nor can it be diagnosed properly. Because it with the code base that you have the return value for the injector. When the injector is rebuilt it has to have a new corresponding code. The old code of for the old assembly.

Yes! And then you can confirm all in the ecu with the diagnostic machine. The 4 or 5 codes have to correspond in order and digits between the assembled and the registered

I strongly recommend a AUTEL with the proper software, not the "sheap"one. If you use the multiecuscan make sure is a valid sofware. And use the quality obd plugs. On the Autel is just one plug fits all.

Hello, i have a problem with my 147 1.9 jtd 16V 140hp, The engine all of a sudden it’s starting really heavy, but once it’s started it is running smoothly. I put a tester on it and it says that at injector 1 the value is 1, and at all the rest the value is between 03-05. I tried to change the injector with another one but now the Mecanic it’s telling me that the high pressure fuel pump it’s not recognising the new injector and they cannot code the injector in the ECu. Any advice? Please, I am desperate

Hello. If the start is heavy and slow you must focus on battery and starter first. Those engines is crucial to have a very fast start
