I lost my MJX Bugs 2 on the first day I had it. But I don’t blame the drone. It was my fault. Under normal circumstances this is an outstanding drone for the price. I was trying to test the range and the return to home feature on loss of signal. And I failed to notice the drone was losing altitude. It hit and it was gone. But while I had it I was VERY impressed. It holds position VERY well, I tested the Return To Home for a long distance several times and it was perfect, except for the time I crashed it. For the price I would recommend this any day of the week.

As soon as you said you were going with the wind I knew what happened. For next time if you fly into the wind and lose signal you have a chance of the quad will just blow back to you and you can re bind the controller, So sorry for the loss. Get another one because it really is a good flyer.

Like you I can only blame myself, I lost a Walkera Furious on its second flight. I just had to watch as it got further and further away in an unfamiliar area. Watching this makes me feel a lot better, sorry for your loss though

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS Put you phone number somewhere on your quad. I don't advise using your address as you never know who's going to find it. You mention something about the people who live where you lost your quad, were you over flying houses? I certainly wouldn't be doing that. Apart from making it hard to retrieve a wayward quad, it's also asking for big trouble should it crash into someone, their car or anything else expensive. It's basically an unwritten law, don't fly over built up areas or over groups or crowds of people. Murphy's Law dictates, if it's going to come down it'll be exactly where you don't want it to. Remember the US Government is doing it's hardest to stop you from flying your quads, every accident or complaint is another nail in the quadcopter's coffin. I'm not American, but I know damned well that if the US is successful in banning them, the bloody Australian Government will do likewise. At the moment all is quiet, let's hope it stays that way.

I know this is an old video from 2017. I have a Bugs 2SE. fantastic drone for the money. The 1080p camera,video works okay. I have attached landing gear and have a 4K action camera/video on it. The image stabilisation with various settings is amazing now.

Hello everybody ! I have hust bought one mjx b2c and I have noticed that the battery symbol after binding the Quad still show empty battery even if the drone it's already connected,calibrated and theoretical ready to fly.Any ideas what this could be?thanks a lot Fly mates

Fpv would have helped. That suck you lost it. I lost my new bugs 3 two days ago. My heart is broke. I loved that thing

Great review. Hey....."stuff" happens but when one of us learns something, ALL of us learn as well. This quadcopter IS a great flyer for sure! I've noticed that mine will loose altitude when I'm zipping it around but that's a function of the barometric sensor and the air flow over the craft (I believe). Anyway....point well taken....your experience will make me double check altitude clearance of obstacles during RTH. Thanks!!!

This drone is hard to lose. I always fly mine above 30 meters if I can not see it. It will come back easily against a 12 mph wind at 700 meters/

If by any chance you get it back, run outside, rip a branch off a tree and give it a damn good thrashing!!Lol!, all joking aside, bad luck dude, i feel ya pain, my first quad blew away, straight into the local harbour!!, got it back, but for some reason quadcopter's electronics don't like salt water!!lol!. I hope ya have better luck with ya next one. All the best matey.

I feel very sorry for you as i have also experienced a flyaway due to the loss of power, but in my case more because of altitude than speed, the feeling of helpnessness is really traumatising, luckily in my case a kind person went down the crater of the volcano with his 4x4 and saved my recording, thats why mv video is on my chanel, hope you find it one day, you might have a chance of borrowing someone's phantom or something, maybe even get one yourself, as the p3s is 399 refurbished and i have never lost power of have it fail to return to home on me, the phantom line is just a pain to carry around though, as it has a gimbal and cannot be simply thrown(i literally throw quads in the car without props) in the car, as you might break something, id advise you to go get a bayangtoys x16 for the money, im probably going to get one soon for los flying, cheers and happy flying!

I hope you get a GOOD Bayang X16 GPS. I'm in process of sending mine back though. Never got 2 ft off the ground before it rolled. One motor didn't work good an maybe it was the ESC. But, I'm so wanting that monster that I agreed to exchange it for new one.

Sorry my friend. I had a fly away with a Hubsan H107D+ but unlike yours that quad was a lemon. Always doing roque things. That day an unexpected wind gust grabbed it around 30 m up (a small frame quad) and off it went into the woods totally ignoring my commands as it did on occasion. I gave up looking for it.

+Novice Quadcopters I'm assuming it was more of an unseen crash. There were lot and lots of trees and it just wan't as high as I thought though.

Sorry you lost your Bugs 2, you would have really gotten a lot of fun and good flight time out of it. Rule of thump (one of many ) If you are going to fly on a windy day, fly " Into the wind " first that way when it's time for you to bring it back the wind will help push it and your drone won't be fighting against the wind using up what little battery power you have. Another thing, always pay attention to your altitude and distance, as well as battery levels on your drone as well as your controller. Now, look on the bright side (if there is one ) when you buy another Bugs 2 you will have an extra controller, charger, and spare props (if you haven"t used them already). I just mounted a Sessions Hero 4 on my Bug2 B2W and it flies great and takes great videos. I hope you save up your money and get another Bug2 (B2W) because they are a great little quadcopter. Good luck next time. :o)

+nev Tk 1100 Did you get FPV that far? I just did the FPV version of the Bugs 2W and was solid on FPV at 200 meters but haven't been able to test further yet. I'm sure this would have gone that far. I just didn't watch the altitude adequately.

I know you never saw it but from what I have seen the video quality from the on board camera is of average quality. Appears to be upgraded 720p at best. If they would have spent $20 more on a true 1080p camera the mjx 2bc would be the best value ever.

Mike Anderson unfortunately where I was and with the timing I didn't have the chance to try. But I don't think the number would count down. The drone doesn't know how far from the remote it is. It know how far from the takeoff. With Google Earth you could place it and find it pretty easy probably. But I only flew it out as a test for the video. If you get one just stay much closer.

DroneRacer101 thanks for replying. I will subscribe now for sure. I was asking because I have lost a drones in less than a month. Actually found one and then lost it again. Lol. It was my mistake 1 time but I figured out why I lost the other is the barometer on the altitude hold. A storm was moving in and the air pressure dropped and my drone just kept elevating and flew away. I ordered a bugs 3 but I need GPS. I'm selling the bugs 3 as soon as it gets here. Thanks again for the reply.
