My EGW rails have a few slots past my front mounting screws so I put my rail MK mounted levels right there and they serve as my primary level forever on that particular gun. I do still utilize an MK scope level as well just because I shoot both right and left handed. I love their products and they are not too far from where I'm located in northern Arkansas.

Thanks Jon. Glad you liked the new level!

I like the scope tube mount as well, I use a plumb bob, then rotate the level so buble lines up with outside line, its easier to repeat that line up then get the bubble perfectly in the middle.

@FClassJohn 11 месяцев назад
I've done that too, but so far with these levels the bubble perfectly fills the lines so there's no guessing because the bubble will hit both lines when level.

Just checked out their website. Looks well made. Will add it to my list of possible scope levels. Thanks.

I’ve tried a few of MK machine Rail mount levels , they were off comparing them to several other levels side by side , I really wanted them to work. They were quality and looked nice, but I sent them back.

John, based on your review I ordered one up last week in 30mm however, when I got it the white painted lines were not centered between the two bubble black lines making it useless as a reference. Maybe this one slipped through their quality control but will be going back next week. I sent MKM a request for return so lets see how they handle it. On a positive, been watching your videos for years and enjoy every one and you have taught me a lot on reloading. Thanks!

That's certainly sad to hear and I hope they replace it for you. I know them to be a good company and while we don't have any kind of relationship they seem like good people so fingers crossed for you.

John, I purchased a picatinny mounted level (not MK brand) and found it was off. The problem is that any small leveling error cannot be adjusted out. This could be due to numerous small tolerances that might make the top of the rail or level mount slightly off. After finding this, I prefer a scope tube mounted level. It can easily be rotated to compensate for small variances. Likewise, I tend to stay away from levels mounted in or on scope caps. That can become a royal pain in trying to adjust the level while properly torquing the caps.

The Scope Tube mounted levels are what we try to sell. They will give you as much accuracy as you need if you take the time with a plumb bob. We make the same % of margin on either so we don't care which model you are looking at. The rail mounted levels are for guys who want a level that is easy to attach, get a pretty good level and are good for most competition use, although I would not be shooting a 1,000 yard F-Class event with the rail version for reasons you mentioned above. Our rail mounted levels index off of the lower picatinny grooves instead of the top of the flats to help mitigate out of spec rails. The lower grooves are going to be more true than the top due to how Picatinny rails are machined. - Tony from MKM

To Tony's point, that's why I have the pic rail for my 22 because I just need it to be really close but the scope mounted one is on my F Class guns because I need exact. They both have a place depending on your needs.

Does this have a set screw to adjust the bubble or u just mount it in a level fashion. And it seems you can but can you see it while your “in the gun” or u have to bring your face off the stock to see it?

Thank you. It’s just working out that way right now. My goal is the video doing what it needs to do, not making sure I’m showing my ugly mug every time. But I’ll show it as needed for sure. 😀

I didn't find any XLP ones on Amazon, just the older? ones with the pin (not two lines). Their site has the XLP ones. I see a lot of this verbiage these days, technically this doesn't say they are made in the USA, only assembled here. "XLP levels are milled from 6061 Aluminum and assembled right here in the USA"

Our very first batch of these were machined through a blind machining network so we do not know where exactly they were made. Due to an internal timeline, we needed to get some samples out for testing while tooling was still being set up on our end. Every level since our first metallic prototype phase has either been machined in Missouri and Michigan. -Tony from MKM

Not a very professional company. Paid a USD$610 deposit for a bullpup chassis in April ‘21. Still no chassis and when I recently, and quite reasonably, asked for a refund was told no we don’t do refunds. Communicated half a dozen times over the years and got excuses; oh it’ll be a couple of weeks, should be next couple of months etc. Never contacted me, always had to contact them. I’d warn against buying any of their products from my first hand experience

So over 2 years now and no chassis? Why not a credit card chargeback?
@tonyrivera7650
@tonyrivera7650 11 месяцев назад
Mr. Painter, I have your chassis sitting 15 yards away from me (and it's been sitting there for awhile) just waiting for final payment and shipping label. As you mentioned, the $500 deposit is non refundable and was noted in that listing 4 separate times.

@@BenBelkinPayPal unfortunately. And when I asked them to get it back they said the time limit for claims had run out.

@@tonyrivera7650Again nobody has contacted me to inform me that a completed, assembled working chassis was ready for shipping. I have no faith in MK Machining as a company or of their products. I’m not going to throw good hard earned money after bad. I’m going to spend the further USD$1500 you’re asking on a MDT HUNT26 chassis instead.
