I remember going online and fighting a custom character who had nothing but high-priority, high-damage moves, whose style was named "Broke Jutsu". Had to respect the honesty.
A lot of those players utilized their crappy Internet and broken strings to steamroll opponents that they knew they couldn't beat if they used a regular character.
@@dailyfilmfix469 I started off using KaK, but in the end I learned why it was broken and learned Regs. Games have fundamentals and using KaK is against all fundamentals
@@614GTRjr it's all good, we all used them, but I had no idea that certain move sets and special moves had the ability to be added through a glitch in the game until this video! No wonder why some players landed 89 hit combos with 250% damage! I would literally sit there smh, like wtf, really bruh?! Luckily fighting games have evolved to be more "balanced" (well kinda) Lol!!
@@PNDKM It is similar To Emerl's Customizable Skill Card System!I Have An Emerl With all Of The Ultimate Skills,Sonic Combo,And My Fave,Shadow Combo,Thanks To The GameSharkSP!Play It!
@@PNDKM #NewSubcriber BTW💙💚❤️🖤😎 Would you be down for a remastered version with new ways of not getting side stepped punish??? Maybe a smash bros-ish dodge mechanic of some sort included!?? With more creative liberties combined with special effects options in character creation so you can make & animate your own moves & characters in more distinguishable manner?? Oh & using meter to refresh your Combo Breakers so that way we can still have borderline infinites etc. Though not assume the winner because of ways to break out of combos??? Maybe a mechanic to avoid a stage fatality where, Sub Zero for instance can use his ice 🧊 powers to freeze & jam or even break a contraption part of the stage/location whereas Scorpion might be able to teleport at the last second in some cases back to a safe zone away from hazards???
god, i would pay serious money for another kreate a fighter mode in a modern MK game. After MK11 i said i wouldnt ever buy another MK game unless heavily discounted but this mode would change my mind instantly.
I always have so much fun when I can customise the char instead of just picking a two colour combo. Gives some unique feeling to your main even though he's the same as all the others you'll see online
Would boil down to startup and availability of starts. Most of these broken moves you can stick together just ToD you. The only thing remaining is who gets the first hit in.
I don't even play MK games or any fighting games, don't know the terminology, but I've just binged the Competitive Character History playlist here over the past few days because they're so well done. The research, scripting, narration, all top notch, makes for fascinating viewing even from my outsider perspective. Well done!
I love that SC3 had unique weapon movesets dedicated to the create a soul characters. The kunai set was great. It basically had Fireball Jutsu that could go about half screen after a short charge. And there was also the triple head rush that ended in a slam.
I didn't knew about those exploits, but even without those knowledge you could do some really ridiculous stuff. I remember getting easy 2 string combos that dealt like 45-50%. KaF was absurdly broken against AI, thats for sure
Another reason that MK Armageddon is my favorite of the 3D MK games, this mode has so much freedom not just visual-wise but gameplay-wise too. Yes it was broken beyond belief, but as long as you would keep it to only casual matches or Single-Player matches, then this is perfectly fine.
Man, this brings me so much nostalgia. I remember spending a lot of time in the story mode trying to get all the Elder Gods armor pieces without a guide, it was a lot of fun...
I once created a character on Armageddon who has something like a 13 move combo and it was one of those that would juggle the enemy so I went through the whole tower using one combo. It was broke. The only downside once it's started it can't stop
i was just talking about this the other day lol if they could figure out how to properly balance it, i would love for create-a-fighter to return. being able to create my own character is the main reason i love wrestling games so much and i would absolutely love to be able to do it in my favorite fighting games.
I had one of those multi card memory cards, 8-in-1 iirc, and had them all filled with characters from comics movies and other fighting games. KaK was probably my favorite part of the game
Brou, I'm loving your channel, your helped me remember how good mk is :') And even tho I don't love Armageddon as much as you, create a fighter was one of my favourite things in the game xd
God I remember me and my cousins spending hours upon hours making characters in Smackdown vs Raw 2002 and in MKA. And then just throwing each other off of the cage over and over again lmao
It may have been just a placeholder name but if there actually was a character in MK with the name of "Id'k Lma'o" I don't think anyone would question it.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I wanna mention the insanely idiotic fighter my friend and I created. He is named Komedy, we took turns messing with each of the settings, and I came up with an insanely dumb arcade ending where he realized he's not funny and asked Hsu Hao to help him kill himself. In honor of our atrocity, I named my primary mk11 Joker variation Komedy.
MK:A is still the best old MK in my opinion. I didnt even know these OP combos but i had an INSANE amount of custom fighters based off anime or other media lol. Absolutely loved the KAF in this game, there was a lot of optionaa for its time and the combo customization was amazing
I feel the issue isn't that Kreate a Fighter was broken. The issue is that it was ever brought *online*. A broken system is fine, so long as it's in a vacuum. It lets the player choose to break the game over it's knee or not. I used this system as a kid to make fun fighters that I thought were neat, not break the game. The level of customization is a wonderful feeling, as it always made me genuinely feel like I was making a new character; not a costume swap for a pre-existing one.
Dragon ball z ultimate tenkaichi had a great mode where you create your own character and go through your own story. I’m not too sure if there are other modes in the franchise because it’s one of the only dragon ball games I played as a kid
I made some weird stuff. I thought it was an unfinished mode though. No dual weapons? The pallette was off a bit but that was only for certain items. The clipping on some items was strange. I made a character called Frat Boy with a fighting style called Varsity whoo! He used a spiked club called I Found This. Had to give him the puke attack. I think I also tried Agent 47.
My pet favorite fighter had to be a recreation of Michael Jackson, iirc he used some kickboxing related stance-- wanna say Jeet Kun Do, but I could've been wrong there-- called his weapon Moonwalker, and all of his strings were just sheer footwork and juggles. MJ ruined _quite a few controllers_ running my buddies' pockets; he'd have been SO MUCH WORSE had I known about the reverse string assignment trick.
i'm forever upset that this mode didn't come back in MK1. they really blue balled us by showing us mixmatched characters in the final kombat rush and then didn't let us actually make them
y'all ever feel like older games just had a bit more polish and care like i know that make me sound like new nad old good but nah i look at old games with no nostalgia at all and just think wow this art direction slaps hard
If they bring this back. You can make custom fatalities. But the others like Sub Zero and Scorpion. Uses two or three fatalities like Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11. I guess they forgotten the Create the Fighter. That's my guess.
We built some fun stuff, but I think my favorite was my fatality "I don't have time for this." Kick to the groin, tear off their arm, and smack their head off with it.
Not sure if it still does this but I created a character that looked like a devil and named him after his actual name. The game glitched and said I could not use that name. Has anyone experienced this ?
