Geissele making their first AR10 and charging more than KAC maps their SR25 for. If you have over $6k to spend on a AR10, go get a LMT MARS-H and have enough left over to mount pretty much your choice of NightForce on it.
You could get a JP rifle's AR-10 with a proof barrel in caliber of choice for less. That's obscene. Better yet if mil larping going with the seekins SP-10. Both like the JP have a significantly tighter lockup/rigid barrel setup as both are set in place heated. Both also sub MOA ammo/user depending. I'd consider paying 3000ish for the geissele offering but not more than that. I myself have 3 JP offerings, and sold my seekins as whilst I loved it, I never shot it.
I love Geissele, but all I'm hearing is that it's a 3800$ rifle with 80$ proprietary mags that shoots a unicorn caliber cartridge. What's supposed to be appealing about this?
6ARC is a far better round for the AR. You can have a 12.5 barrel and still reach to 750 yards. It's more or less a do all round for an AR. That said, it is still on the new and pricy side currently.
Yeah I’d rather my dream rifle the LMT MARS H for that price. Hell the MARS L is less money than that and you can change calibers and barrel lengths for 300-900 bucks depending on the sale and barrel type. Wish LMT got more love they are the best there ever has been
I remember when geissele came out with there own rifle an it was like 1500 for a complete rifle...an people said they were insane an over priced... but now we are here... 😅😅 🤡 🌎
@derekbutts1782 they're hitting the crack pipe hard 🤣 I bought Romanian wasr triggers for $5 a complete trigger set to replace a Crapco, I mean tapco trigger and it was a world of difference. Ain't no way I'd spend 350 on an ak trigger
If it's a drop in trigger like he said then it's going to cost the same as their ar15 drop in triggers because they are probably reusing many of the same tooling they have for those, they don't care that it's "an ak trigger", it takes the same amount of effort to make as any other trigger to them
I’ve been waiting for the 6ARC rifle for two freakin years. As of a couple of months ago, the 22ARC has caught my eye. So they’ve probably lost me forever. Unless they wanna make the same rifle in 22ARC….. 👀
Forget the guns, i want the same drugs these guys are taking. 3.5k and 6k for AR rifles? 350 for AK triggers? Were they sniffing too much glue while selling to the government? Huffing brake cleaner? Imma go buy a KelTec now, they convert their drugs into cool designs, not insane prices.
People complaining about the price probably couldn't afford their base Super Duty rifle. The engineering is impressive and the price, specifically for the GFR, is competitive to other 6mm ARC rifles. The Mk 1 Mod 0 however seems way too steep in price. Hopefully they fall to the $4,000 range after they fulfill their SOCOM contract.
Contracts are steady business,10,000 contract rifles is far better roi than 100 commercial sales. I don’t like it but I get it. But I’d imagine they’re manufacturing those ar-10s at about 400 a pop including labor.
That gas ports damaging bullets argument implies bolt action rifles shoot more platykurtic groups and gas guns shoot more leptokurtic groups when comparing equally precise rifles. I wonder if they actually tested this, I’d like to see the data either way
Do these factory reps practice before they come to SHOT? So many of them act completely nervous and have a hard time recalling the information about their own product.
😂 The reaction when he mentioned the price... Says everything. Give it some time someone else will come out with an affordable option. Or not. Who cares? 🤷♂️
Can we get the "fighting rifle" in a fighting rifle caliber like 5.56mm? Not a vaporware pissing contest I just want that upper with all the improvements that will actually fit their rail unlike the BCM mk2 And why isnt thir AR15 lower ambi by now? And the AR10 is? Getting dusted by the competition
I'm enjoying at all of the hate 🤣 You came here to look at the Ferrari's of the American gun world and try to shit all over them with your POS Honda (Anderson mfg.). I for one enjoy the innovation and respect companies that supply our armed forces.. America will always prevail in any small arms conflict it's involved in, because of folks like them.
It's not a Ferrari. At its core, this is still just an AR 10/15. ARs are the Honda Civics of the rifle world. Geissele tunes it up a notch but at the end of the day, you don't pay Ferrari prices for a tuned up Honda Civic.
@@that1guy_248 Do you know of any other semi automatic battle rifle that can shoot 1/4 min. accuracy? It sounded like ~80% of the MOD0 is newly designed proprietary parts. That's like calling a WWII issue 1911, the same as a Nighthawk or Staccato..
@@benbowditch9265 Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Nighthawks and Staccatos are tuned up versions of the 1911. If I throw a turbo on a Honda Civic, it doesn't stop being a Honda Civic. It's just tuned up. If you still disagree, then I have a pretty nifty modified Civic to sell you for just $200k.
Look, everything isn't made for everybody. There's trim levels and price tiers to just about every product. You can buy an "entry level" or top-level AR, Ferrari or Honda. A company can price their sh!t for whatever price they want, but the market will ultimately decide. And if all these companies just introduced budget level products with nothing over the top in design or price, you know damn well these shot show vids would be boring af to watch.
Geissele can kiss my ass if they think I'll pay 70 for a mag. Like, the rifle is neat. It's overpriced, like all Geissele, but even more so than normal. I am a huge believer in 6 ARC, but I won't be dropping that kind of money for your proprietary blend of herbs and spices.
I buy a lot of high end rifles. But I never buy Geissele as I think they are overpriced. I buy KAC, LMT, LWRCI, HK, BGD (Type A), ADM, Blackout D, SWORD D. Geissele is in the same price range for lesser quality. I AM OUT ON GEISSELE
