@HeroicJei I mean this is Sonic. He can make any character look top tier. They did the same thing in MK11. I remember one tourney they took freaking Kollector all the way to GF.
well rain is one of the only characters that can cancel most of his moves so yes the mind games can create different scenarios over everyone else and nobody uses him so they font know how to counter it, its a genius idea, obviously after this it won't work but he'll have a new meta planned after this and keep people guessing
IF you watch each of their respective channels it's no surprise that they were successful with the characters that took them the furthest. Sonic's Rain and Ninja's raiden have been hella solid from the beginning so it doesn't surprise me.
In any sport or anything with a competitive nature and competitive you rarely see anyone that stays on top for years let alone over a decade he's definitely the goat 🐐 if this was one of the bigger sports in America he would already be in the hall of Fame that's for sure the guy even has trophies on certain games named after him
Sonic is literally the best Mortal Kombat player in the world! They knows their stuff like the smallest detail of every character! They has proven time and time again that they is unbeatable!

I do the close and it is a legit HTB mix using F32/F3ThrowCancel Every time Sonic set it up that way they blocked it he should be getting a 3frame Hard To Blockable with close instead of that 5-10 frame gap with pushback they just fuzzy
@@waynebarnes6811 Sonic is arguably the best Mortal Kombat player since X but that doesn't mean he does everything perfect. I was genuinely shocked he was dropping the HTB setup half the time and putting the easier one to block down in ECT. Because of the mistakes I've noticed he made Splash(Kung Lao+Goro) and Dylochs(Shao Khan) almost beat him at ECT. I labbed his version of that setup many times and it is not the way to go unless he sheds light on to why he always did that. I'm lead to believe since he was mistiming the setup every time but twice that he messed up the hold close input that's linked to a string while also calling Kameo at same time. It is a decently hard timing and you do have to hold back very quick after execution of the cancel.

Rain is good, but the thing is, it's really hard to play against characters that you don't know how to play against that's what going on for some of these dudes. I promise a lot of these people didn't train much against him compared to others

See theres this thing called respect you should probably find some before wandering on to a stage like this level of competition. Its considered bad manners and normally leads to you getting flat out bodied the next round
